not sure if your wife watch Asian TV and all, or there's a tw.tv pretty good for iPod which works with ipad as well to stream lots of TV shows from Asian thru youtube.

just GreenPois0ned my iPad on 4.21 yesterday..

noticed there were a few errors at the top at the beginning.. but everything seems to be working fine..

it's my gf's iPad so I don't really spend much time on it anyway.. lol

i jsut got my ipad yesterday and before I could even play with it my friend dropped it and dented the corner... Fucking choked. Is there anything I can tell apple so they would replace it for me. I can't stand using a dented ipad that I havent even "broken in" yet. I mean if I had used it for a while and it dropped it wouldn't be so pissed but I literally had it for less than 2 hours.. lol if anyone has any similar experieinces let me know

You're joking, right? It's not Apple's fault...why the hell should they replace it? It's your friend who should be man enough to accept responsibility and buy you a new one - he gets to keep the dropped one. If he's a true friend, you shouldn't even have to ask - he should buy you a new one automatically.

Yes I'm pretty aware that it's not Apples fault. I'm not demanding that Apple replace it for me (My bad if I implied it that way lol...). My friend did offer to just buy this dented one off me so I could just buy a new one myself. But I know for a fact that he doesn't really have the cash to fork out and buy a iPad all of a sudden since we're both students. So I'd like to at least try and find an alternate solution for him first before skipping right to that step. Which is why I posted here in the first place to see if anyone has had experience with Apples warranty.

Well, what if you get it repaired and he pays for the repair? It should be cheaper than getting a replacement unit. I don't think you should be stuck with a damaged unit - that's not fair to you.

Get a hard case to cover up the dent, if you can't get a replacement or your friend won't buy you another one.

Yeah he definitely will help me get a new unit. I just want the cheapest way for him haha. Yeah I'm just going to give it a shot tomorrow. Head over to the apple store tell them what happened and see if the employee will feel sympathy and help me out. I'll ask them how much it costs to get a replacement unit or repair fee. Will put the information on this thread tomorrow in case anyone else will need this info in the future.

They might give you a "good will" discount for repairs.

i tried getting chinese characters engraved on the back but the website doesn't allow it

would the apple stores be able to order or do engraving with chinese characters? or does apple just not offer it

i think apple canada only supports english...
im not 100% sure tho.

The new Android Honeycomb table OS looks very nice...kinda makes the Apple OS look extremely dated AND it can play flash.

What are your thoughts on it guys?

flash again...with flash can the battery life be longer than 10 hours?

I've been close to 9 hours with flash on my Tegra 2 tablet. Haven't actually used it to the point where the device died but I think it can hit 10 hours. I dunno about anyone else but I tend to put my devices back on the charger when I'm finished using it.

I suspect the reason for Apple's delayed announcement is cause the iPad 2 was just minor tweaks ala iphone 3g to iphone 3gs. Nothing new at all.
Same display, rumours of same processor, same OS just added a paltry 1MP camera.

Then Xoom and Galaxy 10.1 and Honeycomb came out and they were caught offguard.
