Sry I just figured it would work seeing as its basically a bigger ipod touch. Running an iPhone OS which will likely be jailbroken at some point, so it could basically do what iphones/touchs can do.

The only reason why I even get an iphone coz is easy to use as a phone. I can view websites, play games, listen to music and even read E-books while I am traveling.

However, when it comes to laptops, desktop or even netbooks Ipad will not replace them. There are too many missing functions from the IPad to make it even worthwhile. Also the chepaer version doesn't have any WiFi or anything like that so if you want WiFi I believe you have to get the $800 one. With $800 people can you a very decent netbooks or even a laptops.

Because they are junk, yet many mis-informed/sheeple will buy it. Most of the other junk doesn't get millions of sales. I'll still never understand the logic behind "oh, my i* got bricked when I updated the firmware, guess I better buy another one." wtf?

Exactly. I see people with $1,000+ smartphones that they can't use here because the 3G frequencies are wrong, they don't have data or they just don't know how to use it. Whatever, their money. I don't hate. I am irritated by a company that has found success which is based on blatant lies and false advertising used to sell overpriced, poorly built products to ignorant consumers.

iphone is the only apple product I support simply because there is not a phone that does what i want it to do better

The $500 US one has wifi, the more expensive one has 3G. I don't see a point in $500 netbooks anymore. You wanna talk overpriced.. those are overpriced.

uh....what company HASN'T done that.....

I'm pretty sure crapple is the only company that calls their router anything but a router, and makes it seem as if that is the only way to use a mac wirelessly. (thats just one example)
