And I loved how they edited it after we won the gold medal. If anyone finds it please post it lol.

ever wonder what would happen if canada lost?

would pro-canada commercials such as the one above, still be aired? the one above was edited to something along the lines of " we showed them whose sport theyre playing " right after canada won gold for hockey, and i saw some other commercials congratulating canada for winning gold. they must have been prepared earlier ... as if they knew canada was going to win.

and did you see how many red were in the stands during the game? what do you think would happen if canada lost? Chaos. If USA were to win that game, an ugly side of Canada would be broadcasted all over the world.

Canada wouldn't let that happen. Losing "their" game at their own country infront of the whole world is just too embarassing.

Winning gold for men's hockey was an inside job

Yes, it's called the Hockey Gods.

Guys, I think we found our sacrificial lamb. Perfect, as he fits the criteria!

i think US doesn't get enough credit for sucha great game they've put on today. they looked so pissed recieving their medals lol. I guess they really wanted to get gold outside their home soil.

great on canada for making the comeback at them for last sunday.

lol I honestly don't think america deserves to be shit on like this, it was a great game. So why can't us, the winner, show some respect to the loser =\?

JDął 02-28-2010 11:04 PM

My dad was bashing the SHIT out of Kesler today during the game for his "I hate Canada" remarks. I wish I could be at the first Canucks home game when Lu first steps on the ice. Well done Luongo.

i shook thier hands after the game though :)

spoon.ek9 02-28-2010 11:24 PM

we're not showing hate, we just like making fun of them
but think about it, you don't think they'll be doing the same if they won

there is plenty of respect, they played a great game, but since we won, we have the right to poke fun at them

Lomac 02-28-2010 11:26 PM

The crowd at the pub I was at more than three minutes after Crosby's goal:

Yeah, it's only Langley, but the atmosphere in there was absolutely electric. I was talking with my best friend who's living in Lyon, France right now. She was at a pub and apparently it was just as crazy over there after we won. Nice to know that us kicking ass can bring joy to countries other than Canada. :D

Ronin 02-28-2010 11:29 PM

I saw a couple of Americans walking around Robson looking all sad. I gave them a pat on the back and told them not to be down. It was an amazing game.

The Americans had nothing to hang their heads about with the gold medal game. The whole thing was fucking heroic.

Lomac 02-28-2010 11:30 PM

Now, here's something to ponder on for the next while. How do you think Canada (and the USA) will fare in the Olympic hockey games if professional NHL players aren't allowed back in? There's quite a bit of talk about it, apparently.

I suppose it might help create a more even playing field, but I have a feeling that it'll greatly reduce Canada and USA's chances at being medal contendors for some time.
