Any parties you guys recommend that's not too rowdy? Age group 25-35 would be good.

Make sure it's not slippery around your walk way or hazardous, you don't want a kid falling down twisting an ankle, cracking their head open or something and then the parents suing you.

pastarocket 10-07-2013 08:30 PM

It's gonna be nights of fireworks before, during, and after Halloween.

^ yeah, tell them about the actuaility of adult life.

In no particular order:
Tell them it's great that they want to become an astronaut or a doctor, and they might have a great chance if they're smart, but unless their family's pockets are deep they'll be up shit creek without a paddle.

Tell them that they'll probably never be able to live in the neighbourhood their trick-or-treating in because of the exorbitant price of houses in vancouver.

Tell them that most of their dreams will never come true.

Tell them the first girl they fall in love with will probably break their heart.

tell them that one of their friends or someone they know will probably die tragically before they graduate high school.

Basically, anything along those lines should scare em good - good luck!

So.. how about those fireworks deals?

:lol

I'm going tomorrow to load up.

punkwax 10-30-2013 07:20 PM

I'll be on Kingsway as well! haha

CRS 10-30-2013 07:32 PM

Anyone looking to get fireworks should really reference the site (phatboy) before actually going to buy it. The distributors usually jack up the price in hopes that you don't do your homework!

Also if you look on the site, you'll see price differences for the same item. The menace is a dollar cheaper on this link that I know RS peeps are crazy about.

Menace (Available for delivery and pickup)

yeah phatboy doesnt have roman candles anymore. They have something simmilar to an airbomb at all locations though.

I think some native reserve firworks places still have roman candles.

Was excited to actually put together my costume but I don't think I'm going to end up going out :( too much school/work...

Was planning on being the Red Bull Stratos jumper guy. Got a decent astronaut helmet and suit, was gonna deck it out with all the logos...

Got the Menace on SE Marine today for $25.99, it was advertised at $37 - I said their site was cheaper and some other ppl overheard and bought them as well.. didn't have time/patience to double check the price on the family pack I also bought but they overcharged me $3 compared to website. Oh well.

Thanks for the heads up. Next year I'll go in knowing what I want and how much they're online for ahead of time.

After watching some vids on the phatboy website, I should have got some multi-shot pro-cakes. More bang for the buck!

Vansterdam 10-31-2013 01:27 PM

anyone find any good deals or prices for fireworks?
