I was cleaning out my parents' house the other day - selling it. Anyway, I come across half a brick of Atoms and some Martians I had hidden away. They're from close to 50 years ago. I wAnder if they're still good. The shit I used to do back then, LOL.

Can't remember if Atoms were stronger than the Martians. In any case, they're striped and not the generic red firecrackers.

before 9/11 I always used to go across the border in the summer time and pick up bricks and bricks of firecrackers.. Yes I look back and it was stupid but wow I had lots of fun.

Bah. I laugh at your consumer-grade fireworks.

:p

FYI, many municipalities have restricted use of fireworks without either a permit or a licensed pyrotech firing them off. Best to check it out before you fire off a few cakes...

dashosh 10-22-2014 03:19 PM

I ordered "F**k you* costume from ebay and just fer days ago I got notification that it is out of stock. I guess I'll buy something in Dollarama...as usual lol

I was about to say, "Kids ain't gonna understand that!" Then again, kids these days are pretty messed. One of them gonna poke it.................. with a firecracker, after they takes the money.

Reminds me of Jim Carey, LOL

The Spirit Halloween store sells those Halloween lumberjack axes: $6 to $12 range for the lumberjack style.

Axe at Spirit Halloween

Stormspirit 10-25-2014 01:41 PM

so no fireworks allowed to be lit in richmond... only in vancouver ?

CP.AR 10-25-2014 02:22 PM

richmond hasn't allowed it for the last couple of years after kids starting blowing their arms off whilst playing chicken.

I believe Vancouver is still legal but you would need to obtain a permit and only set them off in your backyard (IIRC even front yard is illegal). I could be wrong. I haven't spent halloween in Canada for a good 3 years now

Hiring EXPERIENCED trick-or-treaters

I am a 19 year old female who is now unfortunately too old to trick-or-treat so I will be hiring five children between the ages of 8-12 to trick-or-treat for me on Halloween night. I need speed, agility, and most of all strength. The deal is you go out and trick-or-treat for me and then I pay you $25.00 each. *Willing to drive to the mansions where all the good candies at*

I'll probably be singing this song while at work that night

Apparently kids STILL learn this song. I learned this song as far back as 1991

Haha my son "learned" it last year in Kindergarten (French Immersion). Of course, the only line he remembered was "C'est l'Halloween" so thanks for giving me the rest of the song!

Very true, but don't you miss the assortment of random crap you would get?

I remember every year after we finished trick or treating, coming and emptying our loots on the living room floor...

Spoiler!
