simply accounting isnt in ehpod, its only in se6 labs...such bullshit.. its not working on my mac either, anyone know how to install simply on my fucking mac?

Simply accounting is not available on mac its windows only. And get a notebook, no point in the surface

I haven't been able to install it on my mba, so I just do as much work as I can during the lab, and then finish it up at home on my desktop.

perhaps they're dual booting with win7 as well?

Used vmware, now i have it running on my mba. Pretty easy process.

how big is your mba's ssd?

256GB, vmware allocated 60GB space and 2GB ram to run windows7 on default but you can always change that stuff.

ugh.. never take web design/development (comp 1850) with lynda williams. Terrible prof. She just works through exercises in class on her own. Her background is pretty dated too especially since web design/dev has changed so much in the last 5 years.

She's still preaching "above the fold" designs lol

Most (not all) 1st year courses are taught by professors who are dated and behind. It's not until you get into 2nd year+ who are caught up and in the know with current trends etc.

A good way to tell is to see which courses the prof is teaching. If a majority of them are 1st year courses, chances are, you'll learn only foundation material and nothing new.

any of you have your BCIT email fully set up with another account (ie gmail, hotmail, etc)
I'm trying to do it on my gmail, but i can't figure out what bcit's SMTP server is. and maybe i'm getting the "username" wrong. I've been trying my.bcit.ca email and my student ID.

The way I have it setup, I just get BCIt emailed fwded to my gmail.

If I need to reply, I just use mybcit. Though I mostly ever only need to READ the emails. Very rarely do I have to write one.

^ I need to send out emails on a regular basis so figuring out bcit's SMTP server would save me the extra step of logging into mybcit
