Because a single GPU doesn't have enough power and you need two of them

people have 1 video card already and want more power so they SLI

Most people doing a new system will get the best video card possible so they dont have to

or some people want the best performances and go apeshit on 2 of the best video cards, like a fellow rser:fuckyea:

Im still on a core2 duo oc'd to 3.2ghz with a 8800gt. I've been able to run all dx9 games on high.. deus ex, bf bc2, dead island, dragon age 2, dead space 2, crysis etc.. think ill be able to do the same with this game. 1600x1200 res.. I've always told myself ill only upgrade when I cant run better thrn med settings on most games.. but PC games haven't made my h graphical progress since crysis. And that game still looks the best.. I think for skyrim ill have problems
