Everyone is ignoring it, but if she pleads not guilty, I think her play is taking a deal. No one is going to be inspired to deal if you already plead guilty, but she may try to have a charge dropped in exchange for a guilty plea. Unfortunately, seeing as everyone involved wants their heads, I can't picture much of a deal being handed out. |

She has a colourful personality, but not the brightest. I think the city is more pissed off about her apology than her crime... I kind of tried to get the message through to her then but her friends lashed back defending her hahaha. :failed: |

I haven't checked this thread in a long time but damn, all those people got fucked! |
They deserved it though. |
So glad I didn't go downtown that night lol. I'm not a troublemaker by any reason, but there could be a small chance I'd see my name on that list if I were caught in the moment. I do believe a lot of people on there were caught in the moment, but then again, that really isn't an excuse. |

There are two people with warrants issued. Does that mean they are now wanted and will be arrested on the spot?1 of those guys is from Seattle so I'm guessing he is safe as long as he doesn't enter Canada? |

There is no such thing as only doing a month in jail if you get sentenced to 17 months. If that's the case, the guy that got a month in jail for his sentence,he only has to do 48 hours and he's out? |

i see my coworker's name in that list. poor kid is regretting every second of this should have thought about the consequences first! oh well, at least my boss loves the kid and he's a great worker. |
Ya, I'm sure a lot of 'good kids' got caught in the moment and, with the help of alcohol, did some shit they seriously regret. Real easy to say you'd have better judgement but you don't really know unless you were there. I know a real solid guy who got caught up in it, didnt steal or break nothing but if you google certain terms there he is yelling at the riot squad. I think of myself as a pretty character guy, but I cannot say for certain that I wouldnt have got caught in the moment and broke some shit. Who doesn't like breaking shit? Mind you, I probably would've got intimidated by the violence and got the fuck outta there. Not a fan of violence. Glad I wasn't there to find out... life may be a hell of a lot different if I were. |
^ this isn't a crack at you, but i mean, if you cant handle your liquor and you let people influence you or if you let the moment get the best of you, then it doesn't say much of the character in the first place. we all have brains. we all have a conscience(sone don't i suppose). we should know right from wrong. period. |
"Circumstances do not make a man, they reveal him." Dr. Wayne W. Dyer . |
I'd like to think I would not get involved and boost. Sober, I would have probably tried to stop people. I've just done things drunk I would normally never do.. skinny dipping at a resort pool is a relatively G rated example I dont mind sharing on a public forum.. if thats a character flaw, so be it, I'm just being honest. Alcohol affects judgment. No one is exempt from that. Beer goggles are real. :lawl: |
If a moderate amount of alcohol is sufficient to impair ones' judgement to the extent that they can commit multiple felonies, then one should take a moment to seriously consider how alcohol affects them and under what circumstances they should consume it. I can say with complete confidence that regardless of the amount of alcohol I've consumed, I would never be struck with the urge to torch a police car, assault a police officer or regular citizen, smash a storefront window or loot a store. I'm not trying to criticized anyone, which is why I've not quoted anyone specific, I'm just giving my thoughts. edit: To add, the kid from Seattle looks like a loser goof with his stupid hair cut, mustache and smart little look. I'm glad he basically had to abandon his education at UBC, because he doesn't deserve to attend the institution. |
