At my work I got a set of Steak Knives for 5 years, a crystal clock for 10 years. The 15 year was supposed to be fishing rod & reel or something, but they changed the program to let people choose things from giftagram just before I hit it. The $1000 prepaid visa card was a no-brainer lol. |

Use the budget or lose it, I guess. Same shit in Healthcare, and I assume most if not all programs with a Gov set budget |

So youtube recommended me this series and so far its pretty good. Shannon Lee (bruce lee's daughter is producer on this and it was inspired by Bruce's original idea) Only beef is that they got a japanese guy to play a chinese guy, but whatever, ill take it. His Cantonese is pretty bad though |
lmao. right, and David Carradine was how much asian? |
yeah but thats 1) a classic 2) created in the 70's when you barely have any asian actors I can forgive Caine |
Grasshopper........... Back in the 60's the only chinaman on television was Hop Sing. Well, there was Charlie Chan. In fact, the actor who played Hop Sing played Jimmy Chan in the Charlie Chan films. "Charlie" Chan, jbol. EDIT: Did not know there were 50, yes, 50 Charlie Chan movies. Like WTF? |
Have to mention Art Irizawa who is best known as Mr. Fuji Hakayito on the TV show "Super Dave Osbourne". What's ironic is that Art was actually born in BC back in 1935 but created the accent for the TV show. He died in 2022. Yes, he was interned. But he did go to college, played music and was a graphic designer too. You can hear he upped the accent in later seasons. |

For anyone who watched Banshee on Cinemax it's the same show runner. Good H2H combat and some decent Asian action names on the show, Joe Taslim Mark Dacascos (though small role), and Dustin Nguyen for you OGs who was born in the 80s like me. Don't take the plot, acting and such too serious just come for the action and a rare instance of an Asian dominated cast on a western platform. |
i rather enjoy it. just mindless kungfu with a vague plot. watching a Japanese broski play a ching chong ling long beating up fake racist white guys with numchuks is just good television for me. You imagine coming home from that show as a white guy who got beat up? hey dad what did you do today!? i played a racist white guy and yelled chink a bunch of times, then i got my ass beaten from a japanese guy pretending to be chinese. how are you my transexual son? |
