I was heading into Abbotsford and heard on traffic radio that the highway was closed due to an ultralight crashing into power lines at or near the freeway. Never seen so many cars on Interprovincial........ not since the pope came to Abbotsford. Bradner and Mt. Lehman has probably not seen this much action in a while. Good thing I know the backroads in that area. Took me 10 minutes longer than usual. It's amazing how people are like Lemmings....... most went Fraser Highway, since that's the only other route they know of.

Freeway will be closed till noon... estimate.

just found sauce

Anyway, Namo Amida Butsu to the pilot who died in the crash.

I guess I missed it last night as I was in the US and came back via Peace Arch instead of Sumas. Was the highway closed last night as well?

Yes according to News1130 this morning on my way to work

Building code already stipulates public buildings and means of egress cannot have knobs anyways so it's not that big of a deal

EDIT: I wAnder how I found out about RS?

Was it because of Port Kells? Must be when I met Captain Fiero and the gang......

So you know me, but who are you? I don't recall anyone driving an MG out at PK. Oh how I miss PK. Here is something to bring back some memories.

Keycode is public but if it goes into the building code, your home can't have any round knobs either.

9 plus years ago?

Port Kells used to be a great place, but then the high school kids started to show up and ruined it. By that time easily 200 to 300 people. It got pretty nuts. That's why we had to find other locations and keep moving from place to place, so the dumbass highschoolers would get confused, which was not hard to do, LOLOLOLOL.

Like MG said, 9+ years, I'll bet closer to 15 years. I'm 37 now, and I was in my mid 20's when that video was taken. Man it was a BLAST. The car I was driving in that Video has been parted out and frame sent to the crusher, all the parts got moved to a new frame when I did the body kit and 3rd V8 conversion.

I drove a black 85GT Fiero. Was slow as hell back then, but I still got it out to the line and ran the hell out of her every weekend. Got busted twice. 1st time got away with a stern warning, 2nd time cost me $1200 bucks. As to the video, just do a right click and save file to your computer. I don't think it is uploaded anyplace else. When the video came out, it was in the heart of us racing and could have put many of us on the ICBC watch list. However now that so much time has gone by, I think its fine to have it out there. LOL, did anyone else get that letter from ICBC. "That they have reviewed your driving record and that you should be cautious with your driving or risk suspension" Too Funny. Granted for all the crap we did, many of us should be in jail, and if the media is to be believed non of us should be alive right now. I can't count the amount of 200kph runs down Trans Canada at 200kph plus from 264 to 232 and back to 200th street. What I really miss even more than the racing, was the Parade of cars in this HUGE long line of 100+ cars all going down 96th together onto the freeway and going to whatever racing spot. Tilbury, or that place in Coquitlam, even did Richmond one night and another night, we met up with the Chilliwack guys and raced out by Pick A Part. Man it was a Blast back then.

@MG LOL, yes I remember BCSR and Gripex. I almost got kicked off, because I was copying the private racers section over to the other group of us guys that were not on the private racers area. Grip let it slide because I vouched for the people I was posting it to. I still talk to Russ aka White Vette every now and again, and bumped into PackRatt a few years ago. He is doing the whole family thing as well now.
