A Los Angeles Superior Court judge Tuesday ordered a Sriracha hot sauce plant in Irwindale to partially shut down in response to smell complaints from nearby residents.
Judge Robert H. O'Brien ruled in favor of the city and ordered sauce maker Huy Fong Foods to cease any kind of operations that could be causing the odors and make immediate changes that would help mitigate them.
The injunction does not order the company to stop operating entirely, or specify the types of actions that are required.

Spoiler!

What a pain in the ass........ when you assume people know what the hell they are doing when in fact they have no clue.

I bought Nokian snow tires from xxxxxxxxx last year and put them on the OEM Honda alloy wheels that originally came with the car. My summers are on aftermarket Enkei rims. I was fully prepared to do the change myself, as I uausally do, but decided to phone xxxxxxxx to see how much it would cost for them to do the switch. They told me, "Free!" Well frugal Asian in me said, go for it. I show up at xxxxxxxxx and they do the change. No problemo, right?

Honda OEM alloy wheels use ball seat lug nuts while Enkei and most aftermarket wheels use tapered lug nuts. I assumed they would know this. This morning when I started putting things away in daylight, I noticed the centre caps were not on the rims. The wheel locks I use on the Enkei's are pretty long (tuner style) and makes it impossible for the centre caps to be installed. This morning I had to change all the lug nuts over again. Most of the lug nuts that were on the vehicle were pretty loose. Scary thought as I had the tires done out in the valley. I drive like a madman on Hwy1, so it could have led to a pretty dangerous situation.

Lesson learned........ never assume. Trained professionals are few and far between.

Well, it was partly my fault. I should have made a sign that lit up with LED's in the form of an arrow pointing to the clear, Starfrit Lock & Lock box that had the lug nuts, wheel locks, and key in it. LOLOLOL.

And the centre caps....... they were right next to the box.

I'm sure many people would sell their left nut or kidney for that kind of money.
It's proven that it doesn't change the longevity of your life (kidney) nor fertility wise (left nut).

I'd do it. Who knows, maybe it would hurt less if I get kicked in the nuts.

^good thing, too, 'cause it's one of those "you cannot unsee what has been seen" things. Just as good as including spoiler tags, I guess. Remove the ?1141308185 at the end.

Canada Jetlines: Ultra-low cost carrier being proposed for Western Canada

Quote:

According to the investor briefing, Jetlines plans to offer flights at a significant discount to those currently offered by Air Canada and WestJet to destinations west of Winnipeg. For example, the lowest fare between Vancouver and Prince George currently costs $144 on either Air Canada or WestJet but would cost $72 on Canada Jetlines.

The airline proposes to drive up extra revenue by charging for extra services like checked and carry-on bags, priority boarding, premium coach seats, on-board food and snacks, and in-flight iPads and earphones. It also proposes charging for other less conventional services, including potentially in-flight nanny services.

I know, eh?

I keep telling myself not to, but for some god forsaken reason, I just cannot help myself. I now have 1001 "cannot be unseen" moments vs the one, "awesome, burned into my mind", moment - the hot chick in the tight, tight, shiny, blue dress, prancing across the street during the Operation Red Nose pick up. I just go back to that memory and the world goes back to normal again.

Thank god for hot women. I tell myself if I ever end up in some torture chamber, I'll just focus on tits and ass to get through it.

Where is the cheapest parking @ Gastown on a Sunday evening (after 6pm)?

I looked at parkopedia.ca and it seems like a lot of lots only offer rates Monday to Friday, or Saturday at most. Rarely do they list rates for Sunday.

xpl0sive 11-29-2013 03:56 PM

Saturday and Sunday are usually the same price and it doesn't change for after 6pm in most downtown lots

4 teens/early twenties surrey residents were caught in Australia trying to smuggle Heroin in from China they're facing life in prison (aside from the youth i imagine)

4 youths with B.C. links arrested in Australia for allegedly smuggling heroin
BY ELAINE O'CONNOR, THE PROVINCE NOVEMBER 29, 2013

Four youths with ties to B.C. who allegedly tried to smuggle millions of dollars in heroin through Australian customs could face life in prison.

A 17-year-old girl was arrested with three others on Monday Nov. 18. They were caught by border security allegedly trying to bring 17 kilograms of heroin into the country on a flight from China to Melbourne.

An X-ray of their eight bags allegedly revealed they were lined with packages of drugs worth about $5 million.

The four have been charged by Australian Federal Police with importing commercial-grade border-controlled substances, according to a police press release.

The offence carries a maximum of life imprisonment.

Among the accused is Tyrell Brown, 20; Jason Singh, 21; and Madison Trim, 19. Brown is reported to have attended Surrey’s Elgin Park Secondary and Singh, who is from the Netherlands, attended Surrey’s Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary.

The minor, who cannot be named, is believed to have attended school in South Surrey.

The three older youths appeared before Melbourne Magistrates Court on Nov. 19 and were remanded into custody until their next court appearance in February.

The court heard that Trim had never been involved with police before.

The minor was expected to appear at a Children’s Court hearing.

Australian Customs and Border Protection Services Acting National Manager Dean Hogarth said in the police media release that the seizure was “a sophisticated operation, involving multiple people and numerous bags.”

Australian Federal Police manager of crime operations Commander Jennifer Hurst said in a statement that the investigation was ongoing.

“The AFP will continue to work alongside our domestic and international partner agencies to detect and disrupt illicit drug importations, and our investigations into the circumstances of this venture remain ongoing,” Hurst said.
