I asked why this guy was getting towed today inside Rose and the guy said he had three unpaid tickets. So even if you park in parkades you aren't safe.

Yup. There was a UBC security officer person going around checking license plates inside Rose Garden parkade. He was the one that called Drake towing.

^^^^ Naah its worth it for group study. And even for individual studying the atmosphere is better at school than at the public library or a coffee shop. I'm more focused if people around me are also studying.

Driving takes ~20 mins if its not rush hour. Plus I like driving my car lol.


The tow truck driver lifted the whole car so it should be fine. He was blocking that area so I couldn't go to the upper levels for around 5 minutes haha. Saw your genesis at its usual spot.

They have a grey/silver pickup truck rigged with two cameras on the top of the cab, presumably to scan plates.....g'damn UBC...

I saw that pickup! But I didn't think it went inside parkades too...

They usually tow ppl around the end of the term.. i got towed last term at buch d parking lot I paid for parking too but had 3 unpaid tickets

At Irving studying for COMM 493. But the view out the windows makes concentrating so hard.. its so nice out!!

Saw a guy checking plates at the Macmillan parking lot today, it isn't even a pay lot (which I just noticed today)

Do any engineers study at the Macleod building? There are always empty classrooms which you can use for studying. The place is not crowded or noisy at all.

Mainly electrical and computer engineers use that building. We have 24/7 access to study rooms and labs on the third and fourth floors, and there's a lunch room/lounge/tv on the fourth floor, so no one uses the classrooms other than profs.

^Yep, its one of my favorite place to study! Are you an EE/CE student as well?
