Chill with alllllll the faculties:lawl: |
^ lol, same here even though it's harder to get a hold of them.. Anyways, does anyone know good clubs to join this year? I want to meet new people and maybe even develop my networking and communication skills but mostly to get involved and meet some real friends cause classes aren't the best way to do that. I looked into bizzcomm, really liked it but I'm going into second year science and that seems like it's only for business students |
Sauder clubs :fuckthatshit: Posted via RS Mobile |

There should be an RS club, if not we should make one. There's always UBCSCC but they say no trucks so :okay: I'm not welcome. |

^Dude, I was in CVC..... And I'm brown.. ish |
Ironically CVC is the most un-Asian Asian club at UBC. If you like having a good time and going to parties and meeting people, this is the club to be in. |
Akinari go make a UBC club |
Who will join :alone: |
memememememe! btw any of you guys in a fraternity? |
RS Meet at my place at Gage. Akinari not invited. |
RS Meet at female friend's single room in Ponderosa :ifyouknow: one step ahead of you |
is this real life... |
Has anyone taken COMM 390 (Business Writing with Brian Sutherland) and COMM 491 * (Strategic Management with Momo Deretic) before? Were textbooks necessary to do well in the course? |
Do you mean COMM 491? I took strategic management with Momo but I don't remember ever having a textbook. He'll give you cases and the lecture and class discussion will be about those - we did stuff like Bonny Doon. Two group projects and a final for that class. I found the final difficult. I didn't do so well because it was during the last semester of my final year and my mind felt like it had already graduated at that point. |
Whoops! Yes, COMM 491, not 391 - thanks for the correction! I see, thanks! I am just wondering because the textbook "Required" is "Comm 491 Ccm Deretic /101 & 102". Maybe this is just the required course package? |
Yup, its probably the course package with all the business case studies you will be looking at. Haha I looked through my old materials for that class... the case studies were definitely interesting - Ben & Jerry's, Walmart, Coke and Pepsi, Newell Rubbermaid, etc. I enjoyed the class. Just hope you get good group mates for the group works! And I remember he likes it if you participate in class. |
how do u find your ubc email address? |

Thanks for the heads up man. I hope so too! You've got me looking forward to this class. |

it's not an email that's automatically given to you, you've got to create one yourself. |
Momo is a cool guy. He talks a lot but it doesn't seem to get really boring compare to a lot of other profs at sauder. You don't need textbook. Come to class, you'll pass with flying colors. |
Thanks:D Did you find the course load relatively light? On a side note, he looks kind of like Rod Stewart http://www.sauder.ubc.ca/Faculty/Peo...y/deretic.ashx http://www.jambands.com/images/2012/...ewart-353x.jpg |
