Boourns. Looks like official release date is Dec.22. Guess they don't need to worry about Xmas shopping since all preorders are pretty much sold out anyways. |
If i wanted to get one of these to use as a laptop replacement for school, do you guys think that would be viable? I have a laptop right now but the battery life is gone and i just use it at home now for movies/gaming. As a university student, I figure it would be ideal to have this smaller tablet/keyboard dock to take around and type on. Is it microsoft word compatible though? |

Just got an email from NCIX; summary is that the worldwide shipments of the Transformer Prime are being delayed because the Wifi isn't working properly. Will most likely not be expected before Christmas. There's a $25 coupon code for anyone who preordered from NCIX for any other tablet that's in stock. |
Yeah just saw this on RFD.. FTL! |
i pre ordered from memory express.. hopefully i'll get mine. |
Boourns.... Dear XXXXXX, On your recent visit to BestBuy.ca you pre-ordered the Asus Transformer Prime Tablet (Web ID: XXXXXXX). We’ve recently been informed by Asus that there are unexpected delays in receiving the products and as a result, are unable to ship them on the date originally planned. We’re sorry to be the bearer of this news; however, we will contact you as soon as we hear about the updated release date from Asus. Please accept our e-certificate gift of $25 to use towards a future purchase with Best Buy. Your e-certificate code is: XXXXXXXX If you have any questions, or would like to cancel your order, please contact customer service at 1-866-237-8289. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to sending you the Asus tablet and keyboard when they’re ready to launch in Canada. Sincerely, BestBuy.ca btw. Futureshop pre-orders should get the same deal too. |
at least they are giving you something for the trouble, 25 bucks can get you a sleeve for the tablet right? |
I was hoping to get it this year. I tried applying the $25 to my preorder lol. Didn't work. I'll use it for the keyboard dock. |

Taking notes should be no problem. But most mobile word processor apps do not have a strong grammar checker like msword. Not does it hVe anyways to adjust margin or bibliography manager Posted via RS Mobile |

Damn.. nothing from Bestbuy yet. *edit* Apparently someone on XDA with a BestBuy Canada pre-order got shippnig notification today and he ordered on 11/23. Damn I ordered on 11/22 and didn't get any confirmation :( BTW. Apparently all stock will be primarily sent to US customers and then priority to Canadian pre-orders. From XDA: Quote:

Oh available for pickup today or tomorrow (dec 20) So if you're waiting to get it for someone for christmas here's your chance. |
