Stock trickles in to BB and FS every so often. Otherwise your best bet is to backorder it.

oh well,
if anyone is still looking to buy, it wont be that long of a wait now imo.
that staples link had it in stock for over a day meaning a lot of demand has died now.
before it would be out of stock in a matter of hours.

there is a thread on the Prime on Redflagdeals.com forum where they have some good almost realtime updates on stock in several stores. cant link it cuz it seems RFD is down or at least for me :S

Here's the thread on rfd. It's a bit of a mess cause of all the chatter but this is the best place to look.

Asus 10.1" 32GB Transformer Prime Tablet With Wi-Fi - Grey : Android Tablets - Future Shop

Gh0stRider 01-20-2012 12:24 AM

ASUS released an over-the-air update for the Eee Pad Transformer Prime on Thursday. The update will boost the GPS version to 6.9.13 and improve the tablet’s faulty signal according to user accounts

!MiKrofT 01-20-2012 12:26 PM

Yup. OTA just hit the WW firmware builds yesterday. Havent tested GPS on mine since though.

Anyone user Supernote extensively on the Transformer (/Prime)?

Considering replacing my EEE 1215n which I've used for note taking for about 1 & years and get a decent 5.5 hours of battery life. However a netbook is obviously limited with the ability to draw diagrams or snapping pics of said diagrams, Transformer Prime looks to be a good upgrade for that.

How does it compare to Onenote in-terms of organization? Does it backup to a universal format like PDF or doc?

Also, hows the stability of ICS on the Transformer Prime? Any issues with keyboard input?

LuHua 01-20-2012 06:17 PM

64GB Grey finally came in (preordered 11/22 from NCIX). Works great, but anyone else have a little bit of backlight bleed?

!MiKrofT 01-22-2012 09:36 PM

Just ordered my keyboard dock from BestBuy US. They finally got more stock.

FYI I'm ordering from the US because I want the US keyboard and not the crap bilingual ones we have here.

Can't find it on XDA at the moment. Basically canadian dock has the left shift split into 2 with one being an extra \ and the return key is weirdly shaped as well as having a \ on the left of it. Also has extra characters printed on some of the keys. It's a small thing I guess but it's always annoyed me and was one of the first things I've always replaced on my laptops.

Example of a bilingual keyboard:

Just picked up the purple 32gb with docking his morning, 5400hkd, around $715cdn.
It is fucking awesome device with incredible weight. However the mouse movement and internet browsing are quite croppy at this point, also it is not so convenience with no 3g slot.

T700 is coming soon, but it is pointless to have a 10" screen running at 1920x1024, I don't think human eyes could see the difference.

I'm using the dock now. The mouse movement is perfectly smooth. Reaction time on the keyboard is also really good.

This is my first time having an Android OS, I haven't spent too much time on it yet, even it is on the dock, I always swipe the screen with my fingers.

Read many write ups last night on other forums saying the current OS hasn't fully unleash the potential of Tegra 3 :( can't wait to see the new Win8 + Tegra 3

bigzz786786 01-28-2012 10:15 PM

Windows 8 will be compatible with tegra3 when it gets released. It will most likely be ported to the Prime.

For ppl who have the prime do you guys have any issues? Now they are saying some prime have trouble upgrading to ICS.

Jayboogz 02-02-2012 12:41 PM

i had no problems after i updated to ICS. altho prior to ICS update there was problems with the screen flickering having horizontal lines throughout the screen. After the ICS update everything was all good. the PRIME IS AWESOME!

Now that theres actually stock in store im looking to see if i should get one too, but from the forums seems like so many glitches, what do ppl here think?is it worth it, is it as awesome as other says it is?

JKam 02-02-2012 03:26 PM

Just wondering.... What do you guys use the GPS on your tablet for?

The only time I've seen it active on my OG transformer is when I'm searching for a business on Google Maps
