When in doubt the ones with a heart next to them in the blue Daily Driver category are a pretty safe bet. The Economy section is usually the stuff you'd only get if you're on a tight budget or about to trade the car in. Even then half the time those brands are better than what the local parts stores will default to.

You can also poke around in the Closeouts which are parts being discontinued by the manufacturer so you can get them at a discount but quantities are limited.

I haven't used TDot Performance before because their prices are high. Alternatively, for coilovers, you can consider Garage 16 (Toronto-based) or for something local'ish in Richmond, try Essex Distributors. If you aren't in a rush, Essex Distributors has sales once in a while.
I’ll probably end up buying from Essex. Same price as tdot also with free shipping.

Rock auto has some good stuff, but you have to find out who makes your "OEM" part. Like Zimmerman makes stuff for BMW etc.

But it's mostly dog shit trash tier like Doorman or reman. That's ok if that's what you are looking for.

They also have pretty shitty QC; my buddy just got two different rotors.

Also, use their search and find the part/brand/part number, then ask Lordo or amazon how much it is, sometimes it's even cheaper locally + returns is easier obs.

I think RockAuto is great for basic/premium daily driver.
Super useful when normal parts store/dealer is not that easy to work with.

V6 Accord: Upsized rotor, caliper, pads; timing belt kit WITH new pulleys (Aisin); control arms.
RAV4: Upgraded rotor and pads (Brembo)
S2000: Cabin air filter, Motor/trans mounts for friend, impossible to find OEM.

Hard to find good stuff for nicer cars (i.e. no StopTech brake stuff nor Project Mu pads).

They used to carry stoptech and brembo parts, but they've since stopped. Or it might be car specific.

It's because Stoptech got fucked over, because Centric got fucked over by PE. They're "moving manufacturing" from USA to India, and the whole Stoptech/Centric parts chain is fucked. I got told by others to not buy a Stoptech BBK because the parts supply is not working and if you need parts (bleeders, pads, pistons) you can't get them.

So sad to see a company die like that. Fuck PE.

RE: Brembos it's car specific. I see some for Civics/Accords, I am sure other marques have Brembo brake parts available (not BBKs of course)

+1 on Centric/StopTech as per roastpuff. The story is shared on Rennlist by the current team who runs Essex Parts (no relation to Essex Distributors in Richmond, BC.)

Re: Brembos - Yes, it is car specific. I recall seeing some for my Corolla, Mini, and Boxster.

Private Equity... basically those firms that buy a company suck out all the value and then dump it.

RockAuto still carries Centric coated rotors though. That's good enough for my daily beater.

Funny story -- I recently bought 2 of the said Centric coated rotors from RA, and somehow they only shipped 1 rotor, plus a set of cabinet door handles. I don't even know how the auto parts warehouse that shipped this would also carry inventory for cabinet door handles.

At least the problem resolution process was really easy, and they didn't give me any fuss at all. The missing rotor was sent to me promptly after I submitted the problem resolution request, and that was the end of the story.

So i need yerrr dudes help on some shit. My service advisor of 15+ years at lexus is moving to porsche (fuck him!) ive known this shmoe for so long that ill truly miss his gay ass, half hearted attempts at stealing money from me (too be honest he's never tried to upsell me anything, hes just a very thorough guy and believes in the old ways of doing car maintenance... ie. if he does rotors, he wants to do pads as well since why the fuck would you use old pads)

Anyways, before he leaves on July 10th, im trying to jam in all my lexusususus. THe Sc430 is the last one on the list and i was finally going to address this ABS pump squeal/buzz thats been going on for 7+ years. Now ive talked to all the techs and they say they all have this squeal but have never seen it fail. Well Clublexus forums had 3 members that have had their ABS pumps fail and they lost all assisted braking.

So i decided to have it serviced and he comes back with a RETARDED quote of 6751 dollars for just the part and a total of 7,672.47 for the repair.

I told him to go fuck his sisters cunt. I aint paying 7.6k for an ABS pump.

He even said its super marked up as the price online is only around 1200 usd for the unit.

Toyota part number below:
47050-24060
44785-30040 <- the gasket

Anyone know where i can buy these 2 parts from that's reputable? looking for OEM part not some ching chong remake.

Amayama is my go-to for OEM Toyota parts. From Japan, $1,380 + $183 shipping: https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/4705024060

They operate the opposite of RockAuto though, their prices can fluctuate slightly as can the delivery date.

That's actually a good price compared to USD!

I'm too poor to go to the dealer, but I have certain parts I can only get from them especially with the tariffs shit.

Any pointers to a good Toyota dealer? I want to try some OEM Toyota blades or refills, apparently they are the best. Not sure if they just pull a price out of their ass or what the price should be.

Also I need a spare key for Benz. Any particular dealer is good or it should be a flat rate for all dealers?

The Toyota refills are not cheap. They are generally around $15 to $20 each depending on the size. Price has been relatively stable across various dealerships for me.

Benz key should be generally a flat rate the last time I cross shopped around. This was for a 2011 C300 or whatever.

Sounds to me like the signs are all pointing you to just give in and buy that Macan or 911 so that you can keep having your Lexus-now-Porsche SA to keep helping you out on stuff.

Why pay Porsche money for Lexus repairs when you can pay the same Porsche money for real Porsche repairs?

What kind of Benz? Try calling an automotive locksmith, they can be cheaper and for older models it's who the dealer is going to call anyways.
