Canucks go off the board with their second rounder, Alexandre Mallet. Passed over the past 2 drafts but had a breakout season with Rimouski - 81 points in 68 games, 25 points in 21 playoff games. He's 6"1, 195lbs and a mix of skill, grit and decent size. He's a centreman, though some sites list him as a winger as well.


He can also throw.



He's 20 this year so can play for the Wolves if he does not make the cut. Could be a great or awful pick, time will tell.

I never get excited about this stuff anymore, we never do anything crazy or cool................. Luongo's still here and no word on Schultz. See ya in September guys! LOL... I always feel like the Canucks are so lame duck on these kind of days.......

BTW playing a tandem goalie position where both goalies are elite goalies is STUPID, why pay 2 players that kind of money when only 1 of them can be on the ice at any given time? You're not realizing your assets properly in that case and it's so much damn drama every time one of them starts over another.

Because having 8 mill wrapped up in two good goalies regardless of one being on the bench gets you more points than an 8 mill skater like a richards, lecavlier, ovi, etc
