Newell should have stayed?

Please tell me you are being sarcastic

Our powerplay was dreadful this year and Brown deployed Daniel on the point instead of someone like, oh, i dont know, jason fucking garrison. He deserved to be fired.

So...
i asked this before
in your opinion, what do you think is the best approach
hire coach b4 draft day and discuss what he wants or hire coach and tell him, these are your pieces, make it work

Hire a coach before anything else is done, in order for the team to succeed the coach will need input since everyone has a different vision. I even think maybe Ballard might not be bought out depends what a new coach will say. It's a whole new ball game now and I'm very excited.

dbaz 05-22-2013 11:17 PM

they just need the coach before free agency, because players who gillis will approach will want to know who the coach is. so basically the deadline is july 4th.

The Canucks need a roster of gritty Canucks.........

European players are pretty to watch in the regular season, but when the going gets tough, like in the playoffs, it's good ol' Canadian boys that git 'er done.

I'm not a Don Cherry fan, but he's pretty much dead on........those Sedins are pretty sad when it comes to playoffs.

I would like to see Joel Q (could never spell his name right, LOL) on our side for once. He's a darn good coach.

Anyway, letting AV go was just something to get fans excited and hopeful again.

I'm afraid the window of opportunity for the Canucks ended/closed two years ago. Oh wells, still a Canucks fan......... why stop now, LOL.

subordinate 05-22-2013 11:41 PM

I wouldn't say the window of opportunity has closed.

Look at the Sharks, they essentially reduced their original first line to second line. It's just may be hard to get the Sedins/Burrows to be a second line, second line pay.

And form a new younger first line. It's not impossible, hard? yes, but that's why M.G gets paid the big bucks

It use to be Marleau Thorton Heatley but now its Burns Pavelski and Couture who are stepping up

who do we have? Sedins can still put up numbers no matter what, question is who is gonna be the support cast helping them?

will be interesting for players to work for their positions now that there's no favouritism from a new coach...yet

Exactly. The Sharks are doing well because they had guys step up, and veterans who can still go. Canucks have Sedins, great goaltending, and whoever happens to be on a hot streak.

What people don't get and why the radio fucking hangs up on people calling in about the Sedins is that it isn't just cause your a euro, it's because you don't posses those traits of the general toughness. And it's not even the don cherry type toughness, it's an overall grit/mentality to ones game where you have push back

And it's ficking laughable that anyone who phones in gets the "well Detroit and Boston won with euro captains"

No offense but Lidstrom and Chara are no Sedins..and saying DET wins with Euros so the argument is wrong is like saying Donald trump is rich so he's on par with Bill gates, the fucking Canucks aren't DET, they never will be

Your stunted sense of humour is not my problem.

Ouch, healthy scratch in an elimination game for your team. Rangers can use a compliance buyout on him, but can you imagine Dolan's reaction when his GM walks in asking for $24 million to give Richards to go away haha. $24 mil is the cost to buyout Richards this summer.

Hondaracer 05-23-2013 07:52 AM

Torts is gone before Richards

roastpuff 05-23-2013 09:07 AM

Can we get Richards if he is indeed gone first? That would be amazing.

Ch28 05-23-2013 09:28 AM

Richards can't produce on an offensively challenged team. What makes you think he'll be able to do it in Vancouver?
