I appreciate the heads-up. I wonder what parts they have and I need!

Anyone participating in the Gentleman's Ride this weekend? Unfortunately it's hipster-bike only but this will be a good chance to wear a stupid-assed outfit while riding + it all goes to help Prostate Cancer research. I'll be there (for the ride portion).

Check it out: https://www.gentlemansride.com

If you are interested in buying it, do not get it from holeshot.y friend had s really bad experience there. He and a friend both bought one. Holeshot would not give them a deal. They picked up both bikes and when they got home and inspected the bikes, they found that both were not prepped properly.
When Holeshot was notified of this, they didn't offer anything to rectify the situation.

There is a dealership on the island that sells KTM and is willing to budge on price a little.

I would've rode home with it, but I don't want to be mistaken for some kind of yamaha scum

I was curious about what kind of power a stock CBR would've made brand new out of the factory and according to this thread: Official Dyno Chart Thread - 600RR.net, its about 107hp. . . if you're lucky. I guess any bike is bound to lose a few horses, after 8 years and 37000kms. I wonder how much more a dynotune would be able to squeeze out of the outdated 600cc engine.

The Akra full system and tune seems to give the best results with a whopping 115-120hp.

The guy running the dyno said my rear tire is badly out of balance... that's why the graph is really bumpy instead of smooth. He said with it properly balanced I would get a little more power out of it

The shirt doesn't have a Yamaha logo on it

A little different than the norm over here on RS. The Gentleman's ride is a yearly event where riders put on hilarious outfits and ride classic styled bikes while raising awareness for prostate cancer research. This year $2.1MM was raised by 36,000 riders in 400 cities.

A photo of the Duc chilling among the crowd at the Gentleman's ride event meetup. Showed up early so this was about half of the bikes. First time riding at higher speeds (commuting to the event of course) with a half-shell and I think I'm still a bit deaf.
