Glad to hear you are alright. Health the most important, I hope this will not deter you from riding in the future after you recover.

Bright side, ninja 300 :)

got into an accident this morning travelling eastboard towards mcgill and comissioner. guy in his dodge pickup going westbound decided to do a u turn after he saw the car in front of me pass and assumed it was clear. i was barely able to clear his rearend but i ended up in the gravel by the median and went over the handlebars. i have no idea about my bikes condition but everyone at the scene said it looked totalled (then again fairing damage to most people looks like a totalled bike), in a way, im kind of hoping it is.

i had a ton of people stop for me and see if i was alright, the driver didnt run, the ambulance came pretty quickly and the police came later to give him a ticket. i'm very grateful for those people who stopped & be my witnesses

Yeah man, that's the thing then haha. All Spiegler's are made to order because there's just so many color combinations of lines and fittings you can chose from.

The size of warehouse you would need to carry all the color combinations in all the years and makes of motorcycles would just be incomprehensible.

ya that understandable now.

was hoping to get them soon cause i need new tires and will be doing the brake lines and brake pads at the same time.

I just spent the last hour wearing my 1pc Teknic Violator suit. Trying to stretch it out a bit. Lol

It'll be worth the wait. Braided lines are one of the best upgrades you can do your bike, the most significantly noticeable and yet cost effective (short of changing the brake master cylinder). Couple that with new pads immediately you'll notice improved initial bite.

Good thing with the braided lines is that it will also get rid of that spongeyness in your lever that's plagued a lot of Japanese bikes. It ultimately eliminates brake fade, but you'd have to ride it pretty darn hard.

Your set up will be definitely much more confidence inspiring though.

Something to look into down the road. Especially with rubber oem lines that have expanded with age. Also the reason why your brake fluid gets dirty is because the fluid is slowly eating away at your lines, its corrossive.

Steel braided lines on the other hand are teflon coated, reason being teflon is not very reactive to chemical agents.

since im waiting, i might order some new levers

bought clip ons and an hid kit for my bike from bayside-- had to return them because of my accident. i hadnt picked it up yet but when they gave me the call and i told them about my situation and they gave me a full refund

two big thumbs up .

bought a nosepiece fairing for my bike awhile back and got it shipped from ebay to the border. just picked it up today, probably will wait to see what icbc's verdict is before i return/sell/or worst case-- use it (i have basic coverage lol..)

Spoiler!

car backs in to the spot and doesnt see the bike until it hits it.

Inb4 someone mentions thats what happened to my bike :alone:

Raid3n 05-04-2013 11:13 AM

i thought it was common sense to park at the bottom of the spot...

+1

You never know when someone totally non suspecting pulls into the spot quick, you're just asking for your bike to be damaged.

Call me paranoid but I'd much rather be proactive lol. I already don't trust drivers on the road, that definitely doesn't change in the parking lot. I always try to park closer to the edge of the stall unless double parking with 2 bikes.

Bayside removed their line. Revzilla is have a crazy sale. Teknic's website is offline. Any news?

Kayci 05-07-2013 11:51 PM
