are these guys on quotas? they get paid depending on the amount of tickets they give? |
^^ dont know... If so, then the guy at staples/sushi garden/churches on lougheed is racking up his monthly quotas. Guy's like a freaking ninja...lol |
man, part of the blame should go to the night market with their racket... |
If you still have patience to deal with them, try calling in this time. A few people have mentioned it already, but since you have a receipt, you are a customer. I've called in a few times and had a few tickets voided. I've actually seen people who have had their tickets voided by purchasing something after having the ticket, claiming that they didn't know / planned on buying something after they returned to the plaza. The only time I've actually seen them tow somebody was when this one car had 15 tickets. Imagine paying for all those outstanding tickets + towing fees to get his car back... |

haha damn, if this even happens to me, I'll photoshop my receipt to the exact time I got my ticket issued. I used to be a graphic designer and I can make it look legit, and I doubt they'll follow up with McD to match my doctored receipt. |
My father was ticketed before and all he had to do was go to the facility he was at and tell them he was ticketed while being a customer and they said they will take care of it. So try going back to mcd and tell them about it. Bring your receipt tho |

The manager of whatever facilities it is just sends an e-mail to the parking patrol manager and it gets voided, just like that. |
I got a ticket one year ago, and my vehicle didn't even park in DPS parking. Car didn't tow away. I called DPS and they voided one year ago. However, CBC television called me today. And they want me to share the truth. AW607, I will give you the contact number about CBC. They will take a video for me. You can share the truth. Just tell them the truth what happened. |

Diamond parking at YMCA was retarded. Had the parking pass on the mirror as directed, still got a ticket for "Failure to display parking permit" :suspicious: Went inside YMCA, demanded an explanation and they just took care of the ticket themselves. |
same thing happen to me at Wendys on Cambie and Broadway.. I had my 3 kids... took almost an hour to finish.. got a ticket for parking too long.. 30mins is hardly enough time to EAT WITH 3 KIDS!!!! The patroller can obviously see 2 car boosters and 1 car seat in the back... how the fuck are kids suppose to eat fast.. anyone with 1 kid will know that 30mins isnt enough time, I brought my 3 kids.. WTF... |
Psh... never cared about those companies. I got a parking ticket when I was studying in Blenz and eating at a HK cafe. I don't keep my receipts and I didn't have proof. So.. whatever. They won't tow your car unless you have 3+ tickets |
Has anyone ever filed a complaint about these guys with the Better Business Bureau? Seems like they have a lot of shady practices, and a lot of people just pay up. Don't know if it will help, but it might be one of the steps to take, if enough people complain. |

DPS tried to ticket me when i was sitting inside the vehicle and didn't pay. wtf! |
A bit off topic... I posted this in another thread but my friend almost got ticketed by a city parking enforcement officer when the meter still had time on it. Basically my friend was walking back to his car, he sees the officer writing a ticket, points out he has plenty of time on the meter so my friend proceeds to snap a picture of the meter and the remaining time and a picture of the guy giving him a ticket. When my friend confronted the enforcement officer, the officer quickly walked back in his car and sped off. My friend wrote a letter to the city with pictures and plate number of the city enforcement officers car and he's now awaiting a response. |
