I think it should be on the before tax amount. | It's supposed to be on the pre-tax amount.

Now, if the change was .75 cents, what would you have done? Posted via RS Mobile |

And then nothing... I took my 6 cents and left. Lol
At the time of payment, I actually didn't even realize it was only 6 cents change.
I just put a twenty on the tray cause I knew that would cover the bill.
But regardless, I always take my change on take out, cause I don't tip on take outs. Posted via RS Mobile |

Also, 6 cents left over towards a $1.50 coffee seems like a bigger tip then 6 cents towards a 20 dollar bill.
Lastly, you don't really tip your barista. But, you 'have' to tip at a restaurant. Posted via RS Mobile |

Went to go pickup a pizza from Dominos yesterday..
Paid by VISA..
The guy skipped the "Ok" section for how much the charge was, and manually went straight for the "Enter the Tip Amount $$"
I just 'd..
I'm PICKING UP a pizza.. why would I tip?!

I think it should be on the before tax amount. | Exactly - why would I want to tip on the amount that goes to gov't!

I guess my second post was redundant after all. | Well, the thread is simply asking if you tip in certain situations and to discuss it, not to tell a riveting tale about how you waited to get back a nickel and a penny.
