Quick Google search led me to this site with foreclosure listings:

https://bchb.ca/bc-real-estate/bc-foreclosures/

Not sure how accurate it is, but on Zealty, there's a filter for "must be court ordered sale".

Here's one example:

https://www.zealty.ca/mls-R2935136/5...-Vancouver-BC/

https://cdnparap130.paragonrels.com/...e9dfe65deb.JPG

Asking $6.18m.

Most recently assessed at $5.6m for 2024.

I've seen a few court order sales on Facebook marketplace. Realtors posting court order sales so they can represent the buyer.

hud 91gt 12-28-2024 07:29 AM

Don’t they usually list them up until the court sale date? In case it sells?

Badhobz 12-28-2024 09:58 AM

why are you vultures circling some poor schmucks broken dream home?

HAVE YOU NO SHAME!?!?!

Spoiler!

I love that it's a court ordered sale (which generally means few if any subjects are permitted, particularly no subject financing, and it is slowgoing) and still asking over assessed... good luck.

Yah man, I was in 1 place for 14 years before moving to Calgary... had stashed stuff in like 3 diff storage areas in my building as well as at my parents house. I've never been so tired or so felt my age than after moving myself to Calgary. If I ever move again I am 100% paying someone else to do it, that shit was the most mentally and physically drained I've ever felt.

Badhobz 12-30-2024 08:40 AM

Yes. Moving is a bitch. I’m so glad I paid some japs to do it for me.

Dem Tokyo movers are great !!!

The kicker is that it was previously listed for $7.8M for almost a year (just ended Sep 2024), and this was their best pic?

New assessments are out - most places seem to be flat or even down a small amount but I'm up 6% this year.

Hondaracer 12-31-2024 04:10 PM

My total assessment went up $900 but the house structure value went down $20,000 :/

snowball 12-31-2024 05:03 PM

BIC_BAWS 12-31-2024 05:34 PM

EvoFire 12-31-2024 10:14 PM

You guys are receiving your assessments already?

underscore 12-31-2024 11:09 PM

You can look it up online. My land is up but the building is down, overall 0.7% down so a wash.

Mikoyan 12-31-2024 11:35 PM

Same here. Land up/building down. Down 1.5% overall.
