Im trying to add the address into my wallet, then private key. But it says the private key format is unrecognized.

On my receipt from the ATM, it says robocoin transaction redeem code, and it doesn't seem like a private key code. No idea what to do now.

*Edit* search online and it seems the ATM maker Robocoin went out of business and had everyone cash out. Is this true? Does it mean I'm screwed? Because a search up on the address on my paper wallet still shows a balance. But my private key is in wrong format so I'll not able to redeem anything. Its in "xxx-xxxx-xxx-xxxx" format. Even with removing the dashes it still doesn't recognize it

anyone exchange $MGO @ liqui?

Meet the Bitcoin ATM that Acts as a Bank Branch | Fox Business

“Robocoin will be controlling the coins and private keys,” says CEO Jordan Kelley. “We can move it to and from anyone in the Robocoin kiosks. This makes it more friendly and secure for the masses. The reason my dad, mom, sister and grandma don’t use bitcoin right now is because they were freaking out about owning and storing their digital wallet—it’s not easy enough.”

Looks like your going to have to use a robocoin kiosk to move the coins into a wallet.

So 2 years ago I got my Nephew all the parts and we built a computer for Christmas. The GPU is an SAPPHIRE Radeon R9 290. I just set it up for mining and am getting round 33.5 MH/s. That's more than my 1070's and I only paid $255 for it new. The down side is it's super loud. Open concept house can here it on the 2 main floors.

I couldn't quite understand what you were trying to say there, at first........

Don't worry grandpa, you aren't missing much. :fuckthatshit:
Only thing you need to know to make sense of that sentence: MH (mega-hash) is the measurement of calculations per sec performed toward a particular coin. The more you get, the faster you are able to farm a coin.

@Manic!

There are many sound dampening solutions to minimize noise. I got the Silverstone foam when upgrading the HTPC for my cousin as he was complaining about noise when watching 4K materials. Cheap and really make a difference. (20-40% depending on load) Also mod the fans if that's an option.

If you want to go extreme, liquid cooling setups are quite affordable and not technical challenging given all the plug and play kits available. Might want to look into that.

I bet the 290 uses a lot more power than the 1070 but I have no way of comparing. To deal with the noise I set up a couple of different oc profiles. When they are sleeping or away it can run full blast and when they are at home and awake they can turn it down.

Etherum price is talking a beating right now. Under $200 US.

Manic! 07-16-2017 11:46 AM

So prices are crashing big time. Etherum is less than $145 US. Anyone thinking of buying? How low do you think it will go?

not yet. itll prob keep going down.

SkinnyPupp 07-16-2017 03:34 PM

Interesting that ETH is crashing right now. If there was ever a time where people would be leaving Bitcoin for an alternative crypto, it would be now.

twitchyzero 07-16-2017 05:57 PM

how much did you guys make off etherum this past few months on a regular PC (not a mining only rig)?
just enough to pay off a video card and a bit?
just curious, i can't be bothered to run at full load 24/7 haha

That would be for something like a GTX 1070. You can look up hash rates for other cards.

How much are those in Canada? Over here they're like $500 USD

And power is more like $0.18 per KWh (btw yours is $0.07 USD)

$569 from newegg. I just copy and pasted the link. The numbers are there from before. 8.58 cents per kWh is the price in B.C.

iwantaskyline 07-18-2017 08:19 AM

Just curious, for those who bought ETH - what price did you get in at?

Been super volatile lately!

Razor Ramon HG 07-18-2017 11:20 AM

Mastercard, Cosco, and Scotiabank announced to have joined the Ethereum alliance today. Looks like a solid rebound is occuring.

Manic! 07-18-2017 11:22 AM

So what site are you guys using to by ethereum?

I use anxpro.com for everything. They're local but you can use them from anywhere. They just added ETH

Bitcoin will effectively be shut down at the end of this month, as they sort out how to split it. I am amazed that it's not crashing completely, and in fact is back up to $2200

Like I said before, if ETH doesn't replace BTC in the next two weeks, I don't see how it ever will.

twitchyzero 07-27-2017 09:47 PM

some ETH kingpin is doing factory-direct airdrops from leased 747s :fuckyea:

Mr.Money 08-02-2017 08:00 AM

so whats this thing with bitcoin spitting and now you can convert to bitcoin cash?

corollagtSr5 08-02-2017 12:42 PM

If you owned bitcoin before the hardfork you now own bitcoin and bitcoin cash. Hardfork basically split the network into two. Miners get to decide which will become the dominant coin. Something like that.

Yup and 96% have stayed with old BTC. Actually it's probably more like 99% by now

Might want to try to find an exchange that does BCC > BTC and get rid of it while it's worth something
