With Nicehash being hacked the difficultly of mining eth has gone down. With my 2 GTX 1070's and my 4 rx 580's I can min .2 eth in 7 days.

So what’s a good site to open an account with? My old man said he wants to give me some cash to buy BC with and I honestly don’t know where to start.

Open a wallet and buy from the bitcoin atms around the city?

RickyTan3 12-11-2017 05:17 PM

Einstein exchange just deposit buy and withdraw to wallet. Exchanged a fair amount with them. It’s safe

He better do more research. This isn't a lottery

Are those cards the most efficient way to mine ETH now? For <$4k? Back in 2011 the 7870 could mine like a LTC in like a week

Oh that I’m fully aware and the way it’s jumped up the past month I’m not really sure if it’s worth it to buy in right now but may as well try.

For eth the 580 8 gig is the best card for the $. The RX 56 Vega is the best card you can get for mining for the $. You can mine $173 after power costs of Monero a month. The problem is they are impossible to find. As soon as they come in stock I'm going to try to buy 4 to 6 of them. The card costs from $669 to $749 depending on the manufacturer.

ForbiddenX 12-12-2017 06:15 AM

ETH nearly at $600 and LTC at $370... anyone know why??

Edit 628 now lol

RickyTan3 12-12-2017 07:27 AM

No idea but it looks like people are dumping BTC for ETH and LTC. OR People realized how fast LTC is vs BTC for processing.

Everything is speculative and this is turning into Vancouver Real Estate everyones a genius since market is rising.

The_AK 12-12-2017 07:47 AM

Simply lol at all these people taking out loans to jump onto the train, i'm expecting a drop in January once the credit card bills start flowing through, who wants to place bets?

Whats the bet? As demand increases so will the price because there is a limited supply of crypto unlike paper money that they can print more of at any time.

Truer words were never spoken. If I have to suffer listening through another moron who feels like a business mogul because they risked their family to overleverage into a property they couldn't afford and were bailed out by a rising market, I might snap.

Whales and others who bought in early will start offloading and recognize gains from money put in from noobs rushing in, some folks will need to pay back their Christmas bills and will cash out at this point too, meanwhile people who fomo'd with their life savings or loans will keep holding in hopes prices will go back up so they can recoup their losses since they bought in at a high price while banks will want their money back.

You will see dips. But the overall trend will be upwards. When I started Mining the price was in the $300 USD range It dropped to under $200 USD in about three weeks. Then went up to almost $400 and back down to under $230 and its close to $600 USD. You might see a drop after Christmas but in the long run it's going to go up. Even Today it hit $717 and now it's at $632 Correction $682.

A $100 to $200 drop after Christmas is nothing to be worried about.

yeah u can say that with gold too lol.

yeah maybe you are right. maybe it'll be at 300k in 5 years.

but maybe in 2 years it'll go to 1000 first.

only chumps would hold through that. it would be luck that they survive. do that enough times in your life in enough markets and you'll get slaughtered.

it's a mania. people are taking loans to invest in this shit. that's exactly what a mania is.

how many times do i have to post this shit:

we're in the enthusiasm/greed area. it can go a lot higher in the following stages that come, but it doesn't matter, cuz they're going to leverage and average up, and never realise profits. like ever.

they'll hold it all the way down, trust me. and get force liquidated either through margin calls or not being able to handle such a devastating loss, and sell at the lows LOL.

only the smart guys will cash out.

the smarter guys will cash out and buy back at the lows.

the smartest guys will have already cashed out and retired from this whole thing LOL.

It depends if you think of it as a viable currency or just a fad. If it becomes a viable currency the price is nowhere close to peaking.

Nlkko 12-12-2017 10:31 AM

It isn't a currency. A cash hoard is more accurate. Bitcoin Cash is more of a currency than Bitcoin is.

I think a big reason is that all the noobs only know about Coinbase, which only carries BTC, ETH, and LTC. Charlie Lee also went on CNBC the other day and talked about LTC.

I expect ETH and LTC to continue going up. I'm not too into LTC so I'm not sure what their roadmap is, but I wouldn't be surprised to see ETH hit $1000 with the upcoming shift to POS.

Many coins that have shifted to POS/POW or added masternodes have seen tremendous growth.

What are you guys using to buy iota?

blue_noise 12-12-2017 03:38 PM

Easiest is to use coinbase. The fee's are high though 4% fees.

Quadrigacx is one of the cheapest to get money in at 1.5% with interac online and 2$ with interac etransfer. But, it takes 3 days to approve the account.

Manic! 12-12-2017 04:05 PM

Was able to get 2 RX 56 GPU's. Had to do 2 separate orders. Paid about $100 more each than I should have but will make it back in about 20 days.

Edit: newegg cancelled one of my orders. Will have to set up some dummy accounts.
