2GB is not enough. You need at least 4GB to load up Smash Bros or it will black screen every time. I bought a 16GB for my SD slot.

By the way, emuNAND is stored on the SD card as a hidden partition.

3ds games hover around 500mb to 1.5 gb or even up to 4gb now unlike ds games where some can be as little as 40mb for those 2d games.. remember the 3ds is essentially equivalent of the 6th gen consoles like ps2 and gamecube

i had a flashcard for my ds lite and with soo many games to download i cant bring myself to stick to one game and finish.....

xenoblade chronicles comes out this fri

i cant seem to do the ds profile exploit - just keeps giving me error as i boot up the blue card

anyway to make gateway run by itself on startup?

Razor Ramon HG 04-06-2015 10:01 PM

What firmware is your 3DS on? The profile exploit only works on FW 4.X. Higher firmwares use a different method.

You've installed the correct files on the blue card?

my firmware on the 3ds is 6.30-12u

yea i put all the files from the 3.1.1 ultra - since the omega didnt work for me at all

whats the method for higher FW ?

Razor Ramon HG 04-07-2015 05:18 AM

I think you need to use the browser exploit for that version.

I finally got my gateway card after a whole month of waiting and guess what, looks like I got a faulty card :QQ:

If someone with a modded 3ds could let me test it out to see if it's truly faulty that would be great!

Razor Ramon HG 05-04-2015 02:43 AM

What's wrong

Vansterdam 05-04-2015 06:34 AM

soo is there a flashcard like the R4 back in the days for the 3DS XL now? something I can use to download new games onto the SD card without having to mod my 3DS XL

MikeyStyle 05-04-2015 06:57 AM

last i read was gateway. don't have any personal experience with it though

Arirang 05-04-2015 12:38 PM

After playing games with my N3DS XL for only a couple of hours it's not working anymore... So far I've tried starting from step 1 and formatting emunand again, tried 3 different micro SD cards, tried reformatting the SD cards but nothing worked. I've even run the diagnostic test in gateway menu and everything passed

The error message that I keep seeing is "the game card has been removed". It's weird though since the gateway card sees the game when I press select and sometimes the game will run for about 5 seconds before the message shows up.

And Vansterdam, your best bet would be the gateway or sky3ds. The gateway IMO is the best if you're under 9.2, if you're above that you would have to use the sky3ds.

Razor Ramon HG 05-04-2015 05:07 PM

Might be the contacts or your SD card?

Arirang 05-04-2015 06:00 PM

I've used 3 different SD cards, so no way it's the SD cards. Gonna probably send it back to modchipcentral tomorrow. Defintely not the contacts on my 3ds as I can play my legit mario kart cart just fine without any errors.

If anyone wants to buy a Gateway 3DS + 16GB microSD for $100, let me know.

Haven't touched my 3DS since I finished Ocarina of Time, lol

MikeyStyle 05-05-2015 04:28 PM

kchan 05-25-2015 11:12 PM

anyone able to help me in setting up the new gateway 3.2.1 ?

i dont have the 2 game required to boot into gateway lol

jerche 06-10-2015 07:09 PM

How much does an original 3ds go for now? I posted it for $80 and someone offered me $60. Is that about right or underpriced??

Razor Ramon HG 06-10-2015 07:53 PM

60-80 is about right. I would try for 70.

Picked up a n3ds XL for $175 used. Then bought Mario 3d Land and Super Smash Bros. Couldn't resist going back to play nintendo games.

everything is so...amazing since I last played nintendo games!

Gumby 06-11-2015 01:06 PM

^
I found Mario 3D land to be very refreshing and enjoyable when I first played it. Only got partway through it due to lack of time.

Presto 06-11-2015 01:52 PM

Mario 3D Land may seem like a cakewalk, especially with the P-wing gimme, but once the challenge really doesn't begin until you finish the main worlds, and move onto the Special worlds.

Presto 12-06-2015 12:05 PM

I bought a New 3DS a month ago, and it is awesome. With the Stable 3D, I just leave the 3D on all the time. It's amazing, and gives a new element to all my old games. Everything loads a lot faster, too. It's especially noticeable with Smash Bros.

Recently, Nintendo released a Free-to-Play game called Badge Arcade. It's claw machine games where you catch badges to stick on your home screen. It's $1.29 +tax for 5 plays. Otherwise, if you're a cheap-ass like me, you'll just take the free plays they'll give you every-so-often. Also, there's a practice game you can play each day. Every 10 practice badges you collect will get you 1 free play.

I've been playing it for the past couple weeks, and I'm up to 86 badges. I haven't spent anything, yet. I highly recommend giving it a go.

sigh my 3DX XL is just sitting there collecting dust.......

Araaadi 12-06-2015 02:22 PM

Mine too, I got a lot of good use when playing Pokemon. Still debating the upgrade to new 3ds xl tho.

Mr.HappySilp 12-22-2015 07:51 AM

Who is going pick up Final Fantasy when is out? If anything this will be the game to get me back into playing on my 3DS. Still remember how much time I put into Final Fantasy on my DS lol.
