kesler is now 11 for 42 in his career. I can see why he didn't use him for awhile.

given their recent play, i'm not sure why torts didn't do santo, kesler, and higgins first. i get that he wants the sedins to take charge and contribute in the shootouts but they are terrible at it. let's not forget though, only reason we had a chance at two points was the goal by daniel :)

Lack will start for the Canucks in the playoffs :troll:

Chicago had a great start, I was worried about the Canucks for a bit there. Ended up being a good game! I think Henrik was looking to pass the puck to Daniel in the shootout. :fullofwin:

11 for 42 is actually a decent average.

The shootouts are a toss up with the advantage going to the tendy.

You'd be hard pressed to find a consistent shootout scorer over 50% since it's inception.

Hell, even Pat Kane, arguably the best hands in the league is now 0 for 8 this year.

Does anybody know Trevor Linden's career shootout stats? He was pretty clutch in the SO with his wrist shot, and AV liked putting him as the third shooter.

subordinate 12-21-2013 12:37 AM

7/12 was his record for the Canucks.

AzNightmare 12-21-2013 01:02 AM

My theory for Linden's success was because he was a pure sniper on the shootout.

Pick an open spot and shoot. No deke, no fakes. The goalie has no information to read off from.

Not the prettiest, but it works:

Daniel or Henrik should just do the same, cause they can't deke for shit.
Isn't it Daniel that usually does pretty well on the target shooting skills competition?

Smooth goal, I have no problem with that spin-o-rama.

On another note... that's a lot of distraction of ads on the ice surface...

USA vs Canada at the olympics is gonna be good

slicrick 12-21-2013 12:06 PM

He's had a few other pretty nice ones

the adds on the ice are brutal though especially in the first video I'm ok with ads on jerseys but on the ice is too much

Ronin 12-21-2013 01:24 PM

They need to learn to put ads on jerseys tastefully. Most soccer jerseys just have the one sponsor, which is the way to go.

Jmac 12-21-2013 07:26 PM

No Leafs gif tonight? :troll:
