The Vancouver Canucks bus broke down in Washington D.C. on Friday afternoon, forcing the players to do their best to hail cabs. The team's Twitter account shared a photo of the misadventure:

im just saying its more of a reliable option than other players available on the market this summer.
if hes brought in as a 7th defencemen, maybe by limiting the amount of games he plays can let him be more healthy.. :concentrate:

Just got NHL App update canucks sign some dude named Mike Zalewski

Quote:

Zalewski, 21, collected 26 points (9-17-26) in 35 games with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (R.P.I.) in 2013.14 to rank fourth on the team in scoring. The 6’2”, 210 pound forward finished tied for first on the team in shorthanded goals with two. In 75 career NCAA games, Zalewski has compiled 47 points (21-26-47) and 75 penalty minutes.

Prior to joining R.P.I., the New Hartford, NY, native played two seasons with the Vernon Vipers of the BCHL where he was an assistant captain and led the team in scoring in the 2011.12 season with 75 points (38-37-75) in 60 games. He collected 12 points (6-6-12) in 23 playoff games in 2010.11 to help the Vipers win the Mowat Cup and Doyle Cup and also reach the Royal Bank Cup Final.

By the same logic we should buy out Daniel Sedin and Kesler since they're injury prone as well. This game is a physical sport. Shit happens and you can never know who will be injured.

3-4M investment in a guy who will only play like half a season?

Do you really think Hemsky would make it a full season with Torts and his SHOT BLOCKING?

Where did I say we should buy out Daniel and Kesler since they're injury prone LOL. Are you seriously comparing Daniel Sedin [who isn't even prone to injury besides the Duncan Keith elbow and the latest injury] and Kesler [who is SOMEWHAT injury prone but its the way he plays] to Ales Hemsky who has a LONG injury history like Sami Salo

Spoiler!

Yeah dude the game is a physical sport. Shit does happen and I KNOW Ales Hemsky will be injured :lawl:

Pass

Speaking of old players, and sorry its in Swedish. Nazzy retires from Modo GM and article at the end mentions a Vancouver rumour. Anyone else heard anything about this?

TPMarko 03-14-2014 03:19 PM

lol we better not end up like edmonton and go on a parade of hiring ex-canucks to fill all the front office positions.

MG was on the Team today and knew that he resigned. He said he'd give him a call as a friend to see what his plans were.

The rumour runs something along the lines of a front-office job here. I'm not sure how much truth there is there because it's usually regarded that Nazzy always has his heart in Sweden, and given his family is basically rooted there now there's no reason for them to uproot, or for Nazzy to leave them during the NHL season.
