Torts is $1M/season x5 according to Elliotte Friedman earlier this year when he was suspended for the Calgary incident.

I've seen reports that Torts has a $10M contract, but the reported salary lost for the suspension (which was reported on NHL.com) didn't add up for a $2M salary, yet aligned perfectly for $1M.

Can't seem to find $$$ info on Gillis contract aside from a couple people claiming they heard $2M on Team 1040.

Add buying out Booth, it's going to be a rough year for the Canucks financially.

For me being a fan I don't care at all... I'm a Canucks fan win or lose and as in life things normally get worse before they get better...

If tickets are cheaper and true fans can finally go watch the game good because the team is so corporate its pathetic...

not sure if mentioned before, but burrows can possibly break the nhl record for most shots without a goal.. i believe the record is like 84 and he sits at 79 shots right now

Nice...'true' fans can finally afford to watch the team they love....and watch them blow 3 goal leads to the worst team in the league. Sounds good.

I've been following my team since the Harold Ballard era so I've had to endure some tough times as a fan. I had to keep reminding mysel that if I can endure all the lows, it will make a Cup win all the more rewarding. Stick with your team, develop a sense of humour, some thick skin, and some humility and someday you can say you were there from start to finish
