All these players we would like to see on the Canucks roster. What happens is, they get here and they, for whatever reason, become useless. I bet Sid the Kid would suck if he became a Canuck. There must be something in the air, the food, the people? | Sid would be ok I think. But its a good point. Lots of ppl thinking we should have drafted Nischushkin over Horvat. But Nischushkin never would have gotten the opportunity here to be doing what he's been doing in Dallas. He'd have no Jamie Benn equivalent here. So basically he'd probably still be playing down in Utica, or getting the equivalent of a 3rd/4th line role to earn his minutes Quote:

Sounds like a protest to me. A knee sprain/strain isn't something that can really be tested for. The doc is going to put you through your range of movement and ask when it hurts. Not very scientific, and definitely a lot easier than faking an MCL tear, or a break.
This reeks of Kesler's attitude toward the team. He denied asking for a trade, yet two days later he admits talking to Lu about being traded. Something sketchy is going on...
:suspicious: | I think its pretty clear Kesler asked for something, although Bieksa mentioned on CBC that he didn't. It's a bit moot at this point. If he doesn't want to be here get him out of here. I don't think he's faking injury though. Imaging can tell fairly easily the extent of the sprain. And while it may be easy to fool your joe schmoe doctor/physio, I don't think the high end guys the Canucks employ would be quite as easily fooled. Could just as easily be Canucks telling Kesler the injury is worse that it really is to shut him down for the rest of the season with a 'minor' injury so he wont be damaged goods come trade time.
