Difference is all those ex-Oilers have multiple rings and a history of winning.

Sid would be ok I think. But its a good point. Lots of ppl thinking we should have drafted Nischushkin over Horvat. But Nischushkin never would have gotten the opportunity here to be doing what he's been doing in Dallas. He'd have no Jamie Benn equivalent here. So basically he'd probably still be playing down in Utica, or getting the equivalent of a 3rd/4th line role to earn his minutes

This reeks of Kesler's attitude toward the team. He denied asking for a trade, yet two days later he admits talking to Lu about being traded. Something sketchy is going on...

:suspicious:

I think its pretty clear Kesler asked for something, although Bieksa mentioned on CBC that he didn't. It's a bit moot at this point. If he doesn't want to be here get him out of here. I don't think he's faking injury though. Imaging can tell fairly easily the extent of the sprain. And while it may be easy to fool your joe schmoe doctor/physio, I don't think the high end guys the Canucks employ would be quite as easily fooled. Could just as easily be Canucks telling Kesler the injury is worse that it really is to shut him down for the rest of the season with a 'minor' injury so he wont be damaged goods come trade time.

Yeah, big difference that history of winning makes. Good to see it has translated into some help for Edmonton, they are only second worse in the league now--above a team that has basically ejected all of its players

So, just for fun with the Canucks rolling into Florida tomorrow and most likely playing Luongo... Who do you think has the advantage? A former goalie who has the book on every one of our guys... Or our players who know his weaknesses and tendencies?

XplicitLuder 03-15-2014 10:06 AM

the way this team is playing, florida. but to answer your question... i wanna say the players

AzNightmare 03-15-2014 11:42 AM

I think Luongo wants the win more than any Canuck player.

But hey, maybe their coach is a dick too, and might start their backup instead.

Luongo conceeds Heritage Classic snub set wheels in motion for trade. Adds: "Something weird was going on when I got back from the Olympics"

Throughout his scrum today Luongo still repeatedly refered to @VanCanucks as "We"

Good thing it's been paying off for them!

rsx 03-15-2014 11:57 AM

Am I the only one who thinks the Luongo debacle thing should be laid to rest?

It's almost like an ex girlfriend that wants to fucking post mortem shit...yes, we fucked up, get over it. You're moving on, we're moving on. Let's go our separate ways.

Iceman-19 03-15-2014 12:24 PM

Should probably start an "Official" Luongo thread so to separate it from the Canucks thread.

Lack is winning the fans in Vancouver.

Tank for McDavid and i will forgive the Canucks for signing Mark Messier.

DanHibiki 03-15-2014 01:38 PM

Poor Lack. Welcome to the big leagues buddy. Lu's gotta teach him how to deal with trolls

Lack responding to trolls on twitter is not a good thing...

except theres this thing called swelling that goes along with knee sprains. you can also get knee locks with a sprained knee, making the recovery time longer. also mcl/acl injuries cannot always be seen through xrays, lots of them are found out through motion tests. but im sure because he wants a trade he injected his knee with water to fake the swelling...

spoon.ek9 03-15-2014 05:38 PM

lol

some of the conspiracy theories going on in here just make me shake my head

pastarocket 03-15-2014 06:09 PM

Sens choke! They blow a 3 goal
lead with 5 minutes left in the third period. Habs win 5-4 in OT
haha.

What was wrong with the hit?

Harvey Specter 03-15-2014 08:24 PM

Holy shit the Habs/Sens game was epic and that OT goal was absolute BS, the ref should have blew the whistle.

And WTF @ Lack. This is why athletes should lay low on social media when your team sucks balls. You're going to have trolls sending you nasty tweets but to respond and make yourself look like an ass is even worst.
