no pics here but ive had grado sr80s for over 10 years. great set for sure.
last year i got a pair of bose qc25s, yeah the sound isnt quite as good but still really enjoy the noise cancelling. when i'm trying to work at home and the dishwasher or washing machine is on, sometimes i just throw them on and work in silence. also i have to say it's really improved flying for me. no more cabin noise... it's amazing.

Mine is starting to cut off right now. Second pair, two years.

Gonna see if my warranty at Tom Lee still applies.

so far its a big upgrade from the g35. using their LGS software, the sound is amazing. only gripe is that its a little tight, but im assuming that will be corrected as i wear them more often.

You mean the actual earbud cuts out, not just the replaceable cable?

Just bought the SE215 to replace my broken Triple Fi 10's. I was hoping the SE215 would sound similar to my Shure SRH-840 cans, but they're very different. SE215 have much more bloated bass and lack any clear highs, which are faint and sibilant.

Didn't want to spend much since I rarely use IEMs anymore (IEMs=0-3hr/week, home cans=10-20hr/week) but it seems you truly get what you pay for.

Has anyone used a reshelling service for IEMs? Reshelling might fix my TF10's problem, but it seems quite steep at ~$150US plus audiologist fee for ear impressions.

How would you compare the active noise canceling to standard foam earplugs?

I picked up a pair of the One Plus Bullets (V2) and got them in today. So far, i'm really unimpressed with them. I am using their largest included rubber ear pieces and they are constantly falling out of my ears. The sound quality is very hollow with little to no low end in them as well. Don't waste your money.

The connector on the earbuds is flawed. The pin gets bent over time resulting in a loose connection. With the IEMs you'll want to make sure you have a good seal to get the best sound. I've found foam tips the best for comfort and seal. Though, as a owner of TF10's, I think I'm preaching to the choir.

IMO, they're less bloaty than Kilpsch R6's, but I would gather it's much more bloaty then triple driver TF10's.

XiaoMi is coming with triple driver IEMs for cheap. Right now they have dual driver IEMs available. I'm going to try them out.

I've had the piston 3's for about a year now, no sign of breaking thus far. I've gone through a lot of comply tips though. I'm hoping for a warmer sound with the new model that I've ordered.

Yeah, so these XiaoMi Hybrids are reviewed to have a V shaped sound profile. LIES!

Out of the box, sounds like mids are strong, bass is like non-existant. I'm so sad.

For reference, I've owned Future Sonics Atrio Series Model M5, which have dynamic drivers, bass was super good on those IEMs.

Edit: After some burn in, it seems to be getting better.

After my disappointment with the One Plus Bullets my search continued for a good set of sub $100 in ear headphones. I think the search may now be over though. Today I picked up the Shure SE215 and all I can say so far is WOW! These are very comfortable, secure and a very well balanced IEM (in ear monitor). They have decent tight bass but not overwhelming like you would get from the overpriced beats by dre. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new set of headphones to give these some serious consideration. I've got a couple other headphones coming in (Bose SoundTrue Ultra and Bowers and Wilkins C5 Series 2) that i'm looking forward to comparing to these.

Looking for a good set of bluetooth earphones. Using wired ones for my commute and gym is starting to piss me off.

Anyone using Jaybrid X3/Freedom? It's too bad I can't return it after trying them on.

Any other good ones out there?

Anker/Aukey/Amazon special bluetooth earbuds, ~$30 in range.

They actually sound pretty good (especially for the gym), just go by reviews.

I've had my Soundpeats ones for about 6 months, bought for $27.99, and would buy again in a heartbeat.

Anyone ever work out with the QC35 II or is that out of the question?

Looking into them for travel and general use if I’m out and about for a walk, however they seem like they probably aren’t great for workouts?

i find with QC headphones, the air tightness and suction makes a 'greenhouse' effect. I would guess if you workout with them you'll sweat a lot more around the headphone area.

I would go with something that isn't fully enclosed or at least take use of a more sweat friendly cushion.

Tried them on today at B.B, yea they would probably get pretty sweaty quick.

Was very impressed with the noise cancelling..anyone speak to how effective the noise cancelling is when on an airplane?

i have the bose qc35 for just about a year. I love it during long flights or taking the skytrain because you don’t have to crank the volume to block off the surrounding noise. I would recommend this headphone if anyone do alot of traveling.
