Yes, use quality for sure. Auto looks bad and low looks like you're playing in 640x480 LUL

Also I disable motion blur but I suppose that's more personal preference than anything

Edit: good call on the sharpen filter. Never used that before

Razor Ramon HG 12-09-2020 08:09 PM

Is there no way to tell ammo count other than opening your inventory and looking at the gun?

SkinnyPupp 12-09-2020 09:19 PM

OK I'm at the strip club and seeing like 20-30 fps now, this is not acceptable FeelsBadMan

Hondaracer 12-09-2020 09:28 PM

Fuck, 20 FPS with an $800 video card?? :yuno:

This is hella disappointing as I really wanted to play ASAP..guess I’m in the same boat as Mike wait till the next gen version is released and buy the console with the game..will be far cheaper than attempting a computer upgrade

Razor Ramon HG 12-09-2020 09:32 PM

Game is pretty unoptimized. Lots of people with issues on reddit. Hopefully it gets resolved.

Gonna hop on my XSX and see how it runs there. My friend said it's smooth.

Jmac 12-09-2020 09:40 PM

Did you guys install updated drivers before playing? Nvidia released new drivers today with Cyberpunk a main focus.

donk. 12-09-2020 09:46 PM

Just set up my newlaptop

Rtx 2060
I7-10750h

High rez 35-45fps smooth
Ultra 20-35fps solid nope
Hour of gameplay, pretty solid so far, but yeah some gameplay issues, seems like its not 100%

Yet to update drivers and see if it makes any difference

Yup

As far as bugs, I haven't noticed anything really bad. Some weird animations here and there, walking through doors before they opened, or saying dialog too soon, but nothing too bad

I'm curious what the relative settings are for XSX and PS5

ime2006 12-09-2020 09:50 PM

Geez.....i had to drop it down from 4K to 1440P to have 50-70 fps...

RTX 3080 is not enough for RT 4K gaming...

So far, tried the following on DLSS

DLSS set to Quality, 4K res, only gets 30-40 FPS.
DLSS set to Best Performance, it bumps to 50-70 FPS.

DLSS Turned off , 3-10 FPS Its unplayable...(Is this a bug?)

SpeedStars 12-09-2020 10:41 PM

5700XT/3600X I'm getting about a consistent 60fps at 1080p with a mix of ultra/high + dynamic CAS. Setting screen space reflections to psycho and everything on max with no CAS drops be down to like a locked 30fps.

Razor Ramon HG 12-09-2020 11:09 PM

Played a little bit on my XSX and I can say that it's super smooth over there. I think if I wasn't already a few hours into the game on the computer, I'd just play on that instead. Of course, you sacrifice image quality, but the overall gaming experience is much more pleasant without all the random frame drops.

You could just turn off RT settings and you'll have way better performance and graphics still

SkinnyPupp 12-09-2020 11:45 PM

There's definitely something wrong, wandering around outside my apartment door

1080p ultra RT preset (DLSS auto): 48 FPS
1080p ultra RT preset (DLSS off): 45 FPS
1080p ultra RT off (DLSS auto): 66 fps
1080p ultra RT off (DLSS off): 66 fps

Nah, I already have RT off.

I'm currently running the game at 1440p, raytracing off, DLSS on quality, and everything else on or set to high.

I'll get occasional dips into 60s when there's more people and objects on the screen and that's when I start noticing choppiness and judder. It's not just this game though, any time my framerate drops under 70ish, I notice it.

Not sure if this is something that adaptive refresh rate is supposed to fix because the range on my monitor is 48-144.

Over on my television, the same 60FPS runs smooth as butter. Probably something to do with the way 60 divides in 144 or something.

SkinnyPupp 12-09-2020 11:54 PM

Your XBOX must be running at 30 fps though no?

Razor Ramon HG 12-10-2020 12:00 AM

XSX runs it at 60FPS on performance mode. On quality mode, it's 30FPS.

Oddly enough, I was reading the PS5 doesn't have that option.

EDIT: With that said though, when my frame rates are above 70FPS, the game plays amazingly smooth. Just nitpicking about the frame drops I guess.

SkinnyPupp 12-10-2020 12:41 AM

Yeah I can't get it to run at a playable framerate with RT on... I think I'll wait for a patch before playing the game again FeelsBadMan

20-30 fps while driving, it's pretty much impossible

Setting everything to LOW with RT on, still tanks the FPS. That cascade shadows setting doesn't change anything.

I tried reinstalling the drivers (no idea why this would ever work, but might as well) but nope

Similar thing happened with Valhalla except we discovered setting it to windowed mode fixed it. No such luck here

Maybe Ray Tracing is just literally unplayable today? Even with a 3070 at 1080p?

SkinnyPupp 12-10-2020 05:00 AM

I think there might be an issue with AMD CPUs

I checked out Cohh streaming the game, and it looks super smooth on his 3080 rig running at "Psycho" settings at 1440p.

Then I see this, updated benchmarks from toms hardware, using another Intel rig

https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/iW...uFg-970-80.png

He's testing right outside the apartment, just like I did. Using the exact same settings, he's getting 57-67 FPS, while I get 30-40.

Will have to look into this more

Could be possible. I'm running a 3600X.

CPU utilization was around 50-55% when I was checking. Definitely not an issue with the GPU, that shit is getting taxed almost always 100%.

Thats exactly what i got too. the numbers are right on

Razor Ramon HG 12-10-2020 09:32 AM

ime2006, what is your CPU and CPU utilization when playing the game?

My theater rig is running with i7 8700K @ stock
I didn't check CPU usage during the game. I will have to check it again after work today.
And i think there won't be much of different in between 8700,9700,10700,10900

I also have my desktop rig with 2600K OC'ed 4.8ghz
Maybe i should pop in rtx 3080 with 2600k, see how it runs.
I saw few of us here also running on 2600K, this will have good idea, to see how this game run on 2600k with 3080

Now, I wonder how RTX 3080 TI will perform

Traum 12-10-2020 12:01 PM

I'm sure you guys have come across this glitch already LOL~

NSFW warning:
Spoiler!

Razor Ramon HG 12-10-2020 12:17 PM

Already knew what it was gonna be before I clicked on it

:lol
