Crickets cheering.

Vale46Rossi 02-19-2014 10:25 AM

Gonna be a battle against USA!

xXSupa 02-19-2014 10:29 AM

That was more stressful than it should've been...

jdmhaze 02-19-2014 10:32 AM

hope Tavares is okay

m3thods 02-19-2014 10:37 AM

Yeah the broadcast was pointing to JT's knee. The fact that it's an upper body makes it sketchier. Maybe a shoulder?

I would normally say that this adversity the Canadians have faced will galvanize them and make them a better team. But considering the US team is almost a mirror image (some skill level aside) of the Canadian team except for the fact that they're scoring makes this a very intriguing match-up.

when tavares fell, he reached for his knee though

7seven 02-19-2014 10:45 AM

Tavares is done for the rest of the Olympics they just said

I was only going by someone on here saying it's upper body thinking they confirmed it. All news say it's unclear/looks like knee.

Sentinel 02-19-2014 10:51 AM

Tavares out, Duchene in.

AzNightmare 02-19-2014 11:01 AM

I'm thinking it should be a knee injury...

The replay looked like the hit pinned the knee against the boards.
And it might have been the Latvia's players knee that made contact.
So knee-on-knee into the boards??

Not really racist! 02-19-2014 11:09 AM

TEAM1040 twitter says knee injury, out for Olympics
re tweeted from somebody, should be somewhat credible

Kristers Gudļevskis (born July 31, 1992) is a Latvian ice hockey goaltender. He is currently playing with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL.[1] Gudlevskis was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 5th round (124th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.[2] On February 19th, 2014, Gudļevskis was transformed into a cyborg bent on the destruction of the Canadian spirit. Fortunately for mankind, due to the implications of having a generation of Latvian cyborgs invade various countries, he has failed in his attempt.

Everyone is claiming the US has no problem scoring
The US are playing teams that are not deploying the 0-5 collapse down low and essentially forcing the play to the perimeter.

Big bodies that attempted to drive to the middle ice were shut down. Shots don't get through

Why is Weber and Doughty scoring so much? Teams collapsing deep essentially opens up the dman wideeeeopen

They got chances, not everything was getting through the crowd.

Thats pretty much it

USA will not play this type of game.

Saying Canada will beat the States? I feel like the kessel line has too much chemistry, and that outta ride through.

m3thods 02-19-2014 01:03 PM

^ If it becomes a track meet, I would like to think Canada eeks it out.

pastarocket 02-19-2014 01:08 PM

My guess is that Price plays against the Americans? I can't see Babcock willing to go with Lu just in case we see Oshie in a shootout situation against Canada.

Down with America! Go Canada go!!!

The Americans are gonna crap out of the Olympics on Friday. I say they play for bronze.

US offence?
