Anyone know which time slot Canada will get for Wednesday's Quarter-Final?

Would've counted on that if they had gotten the #1 seed, now I'm not so sure.

Its all about TV. i'm calling 9AM, Semis MAYBE at 430, but games semis onwards will be at bolshoy and All of Europe would likely want their games a bit earlier in the day than say 9pm MSK

if its any other time like 430 or midnight, i'm ok with that

Even though you know who won, CBC will be showing the game again later tonight.

Doughty is a stud. No Homo.
Hes a foward playing D.
So much confidence and creates room when he has the puck.

kwy 02-16-2014 11:20 AM

Doughty is a stud. Some Homo.

6thGear. 02-16-2014 11:21 AM

You can re-watch the game online.

CBC Sports - Men's hockey Finland vs. Canada (webcast)

Crosby needs to step it up

If he's not on the scoreboard, he is making a difference in other ways. Plus, it's not crunch time. That's when Sid goes Super Saiyan........ you know what I'm sayin'?

Back in 72, people said Henderson needed to step it up. Nuff said........

BTW, Paul is now fighting the biggest fight of his life. He has cancer. Dem Soviets are nothing compared to what cancer can throw at you.

Da, Da, Canada........ Nyet, nyet, Soviet!

This. IOC/Olympics would get most money (TV revenue I'm guessing) from having Canada play at 9am. And the earlier slots being taken by European countries makes the most sense as they're so close time-zone-wise.

Gh0stRider 02-16-2014 08:23 PM

interesting how some local pubs opened early for the game. Not sure anyone was drinking alcohol that early though.

RRxtar 02-16-2014 09:29 PM

They talked about it in the news how pubs opened at 9 and were busy. They are trying to get a liquor law variance for the gold medal game to stay open for the 430am game

If this is the case, im out there for sure

but i highly doubt it

i rmb talking to some folks who came into town for 2010 from places like...Netherlands and they were confused on why they couldn't drink past 2am at HHH

Yeah, especially with the 9-to-12-hour time difference between Sochi and North America.

With the Scandinavian countries, it's only a 3-to-4 hour time difference so the 6 PM slot is 2-3 PM in Scandinavia.
