Bmw 740i sedan

Japanese import, tho. And a pretty basic model at that.

Alpina > ACS

Actually, when it comes to these older Bimmers, Alpina > all

It is a 5 seater.
It has a big trunk, and a 6 disc CD player in the trunk. The radio doesn't work very well but the CDs and kisets do. This car has very low km 106000
The tires have lots of tread left.

Well, duh, but when he starts with a car with a full ACS kit, he might as well make the most of it.

Haha this thread is truly hilarious, I bought the car knowing it looks like shit right now, it has potential as a few other people have said. And I will post everything I do to it for you guys to show you I can do it. So far 0 problems with the car and its running amazing after the tuneup i have done to it. And I am probably going to buy the Alpina B7 wheels for it, or the original style 37's, put it on coilovers and bam, it'll be the best first car a kid could ever have, until my timing chain guides fail, or get the vanos click. But hey fuck it I bought it knowing itll eventually happen sooner or later :) Here are some pics of the way it sits for all you people that don't have dicks 2 feet up their asses.

PS. only bad thing about the car is police do nothing but stare, but I got nothing to hide so it doesn't bother me too much :)

How much you spending on gas with that thing

zyzzz 05-04-2014 01:28 PM

To be honest its not that bad, I mean its bad, but not too bad, depending on how I drive I can get around 18 - 21 MPG. There's a needle on the gauge that balances out depending on how much you put your foot down and I usually try to keep that a`t about 19 MPG instead of 8 lmao.

Curbed up set of Alpina Classic 21" wheels will run you 4K plus, I've been looking everywhere to find them.

New or nicely kept sets go for over 5K

So if you find a set locally, prepare for a bidding war against me...

zyzzz 05-04-2014 06:28 PM

I know of someone selling a pair with tires for 3000 but sadly I cannot tell you his name because if I end up buying them I would not want to pay more than he has already told me he will sell them to me for :)

Where do you plan on getting the other pair, though?

zyzzz 05-04-2014 06:56 PM

My bad, a set, all 4 wheels. Theyre painted black

westopher 05-04-2014 07:32 PM

As amazing as alpinas look on any bmw in existence, M parallels can be found for like 500 bucks on craigslist and look so good on the e38.

Mpars for 500 are difficult but doable. Possibly in the US. Locally, 700-800 with decent tires is more likely. Add $200 or so for a 5-set.

Edit: I'll say again, this car looks *very* nice. Everybody shit on it, but drop the ghetto wheels and it will look very very sexy.

Just prepare your anus for the maintenance.

westopher 05-04-2014 08:53 PM

I saw a mint set for $350 on CL last week!! I'm not sure the sizes they are offered in, but these were 18x8.5 and 9.5 staggered.

rriggi 05-05-2014 12:08 AM

lol just the locking center caps for the 21" Alpina's is nearly 700 bucks

Alpina Centre Caps from Alloy Wheels Direct

I will find a set of these in Sapphire Black though.......

westopher 05-05-2014 09:49 AM

thumper 05-05-2014 11:00 AM
