So the battery drain issue came after I reset it 2 weeks ago

It just keeps having issue. Is not any apps I am using. Maybe is time to switch back to apple...... I am just tired of all the issue I am having.

First battery issue, then GPS issue and now battery issue again.

asian_XL 08-08-2017 07:32 PM

both my parents 6gb 1+5 have the latest firmware and seems no battery drainage issue so far. Could be the access authority setting?

asian_XL 08-14-2017 09:39 PM

anyone experience slow Wifi speed?

My home internet is 500Mbps + AC router. Using my S8 it gets 300Mbps with speedtest, but 1+5 gets 70Mbps max, which is just slightly better than N speed.

FYI for anyone that has a 1+3, I just did a warranty claim on it. They ran out of stock so for + $40, you can have a 1+5

Hmm, I got a 3T. I think standard warranty was 1 year?

what was your warranty claim reason?

So I just did a new update and before I could swipe up for news stories. Now I swipe up it brings app all my apps. Anyone know how to get the news stories back?

Guess the hype for 1+ have finally die down. Someone on their forum posted 1+5 is no longer being sold. Maybe a new phone is coming out? Feel next year is going to be hard for them since having better hardware isn't going to attract people anymore. They need new tech in their phones which will drive cost up. Also there are phones out there with the same spec and cheaper.

Oneplus 5t is coming out on Nov 15th or something..

Nabatron 10-29-2017 12:19 PM

the thing that pisses me off with oneplus is the complete turnover of there phones....wasn't the oneplus5 just being sold 5 to 6 months ago and not a new one is coming out. This is my first oneplus phone might be last if they keep going this route...

The 5T is the rebadge OPPO X20 with SD835. I tried the OPPO in person, definitely looks great with 6" screen, but the slim edge is difficult to hold a phone.

anyone have issues with their one plus devices connecting on windows 10? my MTP mode doesnt work and i have no access to my files. I've tried installing the usb driver that the phone has, but no luck.

have tried usb debugging also....

You know you don't have to buy the newest one that comes out each time, right? 4Head

That's how they seem now though. Release their flagship phones and then 6 months later release something with small upgrades. I mean Saumsung does the same thing. Usually their galaxy lineup in spring and then the note around Oct. So they can keep their line up of phones upto date.

TOS'd 11-12-2017 11:54 AM

Buy the 5, skip 5t, buy the 6, skip 6t, etc.

Edit: Just adding my own experience here.

I bought the OPO, skipped the OPT/OPX, bought the OP3 only because the touchscreen stopped working on 1/3rd of my screen. Skipped OP3T, thought about buying the OP5 because my OP3 camera stopped working, but I bought a replacement part for $10 and fixed it myself. And now I'm at the point where I've outgrown the need to have the newest gadgets that I could probably keep the OP3 for another year or two since I don't use my phone for much other than the basics. As long as it has a decent camera (for me).

I also bought a brand new screen for the OPO and replaced that one myself, so now I have a backup phone that works perfectly fine besides the shitty camera the OPO came with with no image stabilisation, lol.

Cr33pUh 11-12-2017 03:01 PM

Ugh. The 5T leaks make this phone not too desirable. Currently still using OPO since it came out and its slowly showing its wear and tear. Was looking for a new phone since I use my phone for work. Looks like my best option is Pixel XL 2.

sonick 11-21-2017 07:04 AM

5T has been getting great reviews for its screen and build quality. Very tempting to upgrade from my disintegrating OPO :considered:

New 8.0 update for 1+3/T users today. OnePlus rolls out OxygenOS 5.0 OTA, the first official Oreo build for the OnePlus 3/3T

I haven't downloaded it yet because it's a 1.5gb file but i'm really excited to use some of these features. Side note - 1+5T has officially launched on their website. Get a 10% off if you use a verified email. You can also get 50% off an 'early bird bundle' which is a '3D' screen protector and an official 1+ case.

How to get the 10% off with verified email?

Edit: nvm figured it out via my old university email address.

Pulled the trigger on it... Saved $95 all-in with the 10% and case bundle discount (which was selling out quickly). Was trying to stack a referral $20 on accessories on top of it but it wouldn't stack. $691 CAD all-in.

Is it worth it to get the upgraded model with 8GB + 128GB storage? Did you?

Also tried figuring it out myself but how did you guys end up getting the 10% off with a verified email?

sonick 11-21-2017 08:21 PM

I got the 6gb. Don't store much on my phone didn't need 128gig storage.

Your sign up for that student beans thing with a school email address to get 10% off

Thoughts on if the 8gb ram is beneficial enough to pay the extra $70?

jinxcrusader 11-22-2017 04:58 AM

The update on my OnePlus3 to Oreo was a bad idea. Battery life has decreased dramatically.

inv4zn 11-22-2017 07:58 AM

^Wipe cache and let the system settle for a few days. I noticed the same thing, but it's actually stabilized and is a bit better than before.

A lot of apps aren't updated yet to 8.0 API though, so some apps are crashing randomly. But overall the update seems solid.
