Personally wouldn't buy anything from someone who writes "don't waste my time" in the ad. Unless it was an absolute steal I would be happy to pay asking for and knew the transaction would take less than a minute.

Didn't even notice the ad was from Surrey.. such a Surrey jack thing to write. :lol

uh, incase you haven't noticed while tooting your horn on your high horse, South Surrey is till "Surrey".

punkwax 07-29-2015 08:50 PM

I'm fully aware.. grew up in Newton. Lived in Surrey for 25+ years. Doesn't mean I'm a Surrey jack, which is specifically what I was referring to. But hey, thanks for assuming I was being arrogant.

All walks of life in Surrey, it's a big city.

Anyway, that's my opinion. Anyone who comes across like a dick in a CL ad is someone I would prefer not to deal with. That's all I'm saying.

Currenty shopping around for m3s..

Would these be classified as good buys? They're from CG.

What is there to look out for in e46 M3's past the 170k mark?

^ both M3s look very nice. Just make sure all the key maintenance items have been taken care of such as sub frame, Vanos, and rod bearing issues. The mileage is extremely high imo, but the pricing seems very reasonable and CG is pretty respected BMW shop (just expensive). I would rather have the coupe Vs vert.

Are you only after manuals or are SMG cars a consideration?

2003 BMW M3 2DR CONVERTIBLE (SMG)

This has been for sale a long time - might be willing to really deal on it. My fav colour on these cars by far. Sadly my research suggests that manual swaps are not as cheap as people claim them to be.

That white vert has its subframe reinforced i believe, and comes with some tasteful modifications already..but verts do rattle a lot more vs the coupe lol, but driving top down is priceless

Pre-Owned: BMW M3 2002 - Blitzkrieg Motorcars

On their main website, it has a set of E90 rims on it.

Other than that the mileage shouldn't be a concern if it's well maintained right?

2008 350z white ( with volk racing rims)

if not smacked up or huge decs on it.... good track car

flagella 07-30-2015 02:41 PM

Magic blue lol. Thought mag blue stands for magnesium blue. Anyway, looks to be a solid deal given a set of ce28 and relatively low mileage. Hopefully no nasty accident record.

Regardless of what you think of the ad, that is an excellent price. The hatches are worth more because the new STI is only in a Sedan.

The ad is fake or the seller isn't serious.

I contacted them when the ad was live. Still no contact.

How's reliability on CX7 in those years?

Consumer Reports has the 2007 Mazda CX-7 on its "Used Models to Avoid" list in its 2015 Annual Auto Issue.

In CR's 2012 Used Car Buying Guide, it lists the '07 as having well below average reliability overall, with well below average ratings in Engine (Major), Engine (Minor), Drive System, Fuel System, and Climate System.

It improved in the '08 model year to Average overall (though still well below average ratings in Fuel System and Climate System) and climbed to Above Average for the '09 model year and newer.

Lemon-Aid (2015) lists it as Average (2007-2010) and lists Weak Points as:
  • ride comfort
  • headroom
  • rear seating
  • interior garnishing
  • fuel economy
  • minor engine problems
  • fuel system
  • brakes
  • fit and finish
  • excessive condensation in headlights
  • accelerator and brake pedals mounted too close together
  • brake squeaking and groaning

Maybe I should get this, are airbags mandatory to get it insured?

SpeedStars 07-30-2015 08:41 PM

You will get a VI for no airbags if the cops find out. Also, to replace the dash airbag, you need a brand new dash :lawl:

!Aznboi128 07-30-2015 08:43 PM

there's a lien on it.....

Bimmer Haus on Lougheed has at least one E46 M3 with a full MT transmission swap from what I saw earlier today

I don't think the bumper should be that black, even with the cat removed, but I could be wrong.

Jgresch 07-30-2015 10:50 PM

Couple RSX exhausts make the bumper pretty black, HKS especially

Looks pretty sketched from the photos, normally curbers love to polish up the plastic panels in the engine bay.

But who knows...

flagella 07-31-2015 11:07 AM

Lol wow 58k km in like a year?
