i know you're not supposed to buy into internet hypes, but that audi 4.2 scares the crap out of me. If they'd done the chains, they'd have mentioned it in the ad http://www.nogaroblue.com/cars/s4v8.jpg :heckno::heckno::heckno: |

Only $8K USD (according to Jalopnik, so likely into 5 digits in Canadian $) |
Has anyone driven or had experience with these? Seems like a decent price for a lot of car. I'm blind to Maserati problems or driving experience 2003 Maserati 4200 Coupe https://images.craigslist.org/00p0p_...U_1200x900.jpg |
^^^ I know nothing but I don't think that older Gen f1 smg style gear box was great. I read about the quattroporte and every one said get a 06+? With the regular 6 speed auto rather than the older auto manual. |

Reliability - decent for an italian. The 4.2 dry slump v8 is ferrari built and is actually okay for reliability. Might have some issues with valve cover gaskets like all ferraris but overall stout. The tranny on the other hand is a finicky.. not necessary unreliable just hard to live with day to day. It feels like being driven around by a guy who just learned how to drive manual. Shifts are lurchy at medium speeds. low speed is horrendously uncivilized but when you are actually booting it, it works and works well. Dont know if this comes with Skyhook suspension, if it does i wouldnt get it. First generation skyhook system (adaptive suspension) was garbage and even nowadays the skyhook system is only mediocre. I would check a few things before getting this 1) how many owners *i think this guy just got this not too long ago* 4200 are pretty rare. 2) take it to FMOV and pull the service records to verify all the service 3) get an inspection done by 3rd party, check for weeping valve covers and bushings especially. If they all pass, 30k for a maserati is UTTERLY INSANE bargain. Just dont daily it and you should be okay. Or if you do daily it, find a good indy guy (i still havent found one yet) and you'll save a bundle. This guy with the quattropote has been selling for a while too.. im sure you can get a decent price on it. Tubi exhausts are like 5k by themselves. https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/6085859924.html |
Nice low mileage, sleeper/stealth wagon. 02 V70 T5, 149K kms, $6800 (bit on the higher side but see how your negotiation skills are) https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/6132837634.html https://images.craigslist.org/00t0t_...Vr_600x450.jpg |

That LS430 was a bargain if legit. I remember when you couldn't find one under 20k. Someone probably saw it, contacted the seller right away, grabbed some cash for a deposit and bought it this morning. That or it was fake. |
I've seen multiple Lexus' (Lexi?) posted with the same background in the past year. At least one RX and another facelifted LS430 for ~20k, so it's probably not fake. Maybe someone with dealer hookups on trade-ins? |
Pretty good priced Impreza hatch. 2008, 171K kms, $6000. Wonder if timing belt needs to be done soon. https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/nvn/cto/6131928519.html https://images.craigslist.org/00j0j_...RO_600x450.jpg |
I got the same reply this afternoon saying the Ls430 was sold too |
