isnt this the car that belonged to that street racer guy that was interviewed a few years back?

GabAlmighty 01-31-2019 01:30 PM

Same model. He crashed his in a tunnel, and then switched to bikes, if I remember correctly.

No, his car was black with a solid roof, no TTops.

Anyone have the video? Didn’t he put revscene to shame or something?

TouringTeg 01-31-2019 03:25 PM

I am really curious if that sc430 is a real ad. Badhobz let me know

VMR values it b/t 9200 and 11300 with that mileage.
:suspicious:

I will admit tho, I strongly prefer the RWD layout over AWD.

I'd rather have this for the same money

snowfarmer 01-31-2019 04:41 PM

And if the map is right, it's a West Van car, decent odds that the owner has had the $$$ to do all the required maintenance and repairs. Less chance of a deferred maintenance wallet bomb for the new owner.

That is a good deal.

I must be getting old, each year I get more and more interested in owning a heavily-depreciated luxo-barge. The traffic on my commute to work and home gets heavier every year, my opportunities to open it up and have some fun driving a sports car on the commute keep diminishing. There's going to be a point where it's not worth it and an LS460/M56x/RL (or maybe an S class/A8/7 series bank account destroyer) will find it's way into the fleet.

yeah that LS i've been eyeing it... for my dad. his E class is aging and looking for a replacement.

just need to convince the old man out of benz and into Lexus vanilla goodness.

A buddy of mine drives a 98 GS400 that he bought off I believe the first owner a few years ago for $5k, I think it had something like 150k on it and the original purchase papers for $88k. It's fairly powerful and stupidly comfy to be in, as a float around in traffic daily that kind of car seems like a pretty good idea.

GS8 01-31-2019 05:54 PM

So now people suddenly want comfy sleeper barges?

I've been expecting you:ilied:

It is legit. Contacted the owner through facebook last night. He has full service records from jim pattison lexus since 2009 and currently it got 112 miles. But the vehicle is located in horseshoe bay and I don't have time to look at it until Saturday after 2pm. So I guess Badhobz will probably pick it up before I even get a chance to look at it. Oh well.

I have been searching for a clean title one black/black for ages (GS400/430) and they rarely come up. People seem to keep the car forever.

JSALES 01-31-2019 07:02 PM

I wouldn’t mind a GS either, too bad the silver one posted earlier is gone now

Badhobz 01-31-2019 07:04 PM

I can't get the fucking fecesbook to work. God dammit I gotta register for this shit hole social networking trash just to get this fucking car!!!! Aaartrrggghhhhhhhhhh

Hondaracer 01-31-2019 07:09 PM

Problem with any luxo barges that float in traffic is typically fuel is $$$$$

Can you get a friend with FB to message the seller your name and number?

Imagine owning a spiffy Lexus and NOT joining FB. That's a win win.

ive been trying to all day. So far seller hasnt contacted me back yet. I went through the wife's, friend's cousin.

:drunk:

If its a rebuilt then its not a really good deal, but if its clean this guy is completely out to lunch. 06+ are going for easily 18-20k in the summertime.

Maybe i can convince him to take my maserati and then he can pay me 50k

His is black/black, I'm not sure about the title but I'm assuming clean. It's bone stock aside from Tein coilovers cause the stock stuff was toast. I think he was considering selling it, I'll see if he still is.

His name is David Wolstenholme, you can message him from his facebook page.

https://www.facebook.com/chilkolakelodge

He told me he will be free tomorrow but I just don't have time to check it out.
Better let you buy it, instead of someone that do not appreciate it bought the car and flip it for profit.
