no compete, no desire no cares |
i actually thought we outplayed them for most of the night, maybe except the last stretch of the 3rd u run into a hot goalie, don't get a single PP, and hit the crossbar 4 times.... shit happens, i can live with this loss |
i hope they continue to give Corrado a chance with the big club. willie must have liked what he saw to put him out in the last minute of the game. he also had 17 minutes of ice time, which is more than what weber and stanton usually get. |
|
^ You know your team was the 2nd best one last night! But you guys lost a lot of games where you were obviously the better team... so we'll give you this one. Canucks just doing what they do best, making marginal goalies shine. P.S. tell Wideman to pick up his sack and stop crying like a little bitch when the puck hits him, he's never fired one in on a goalie before? Move bitch get out the way if ya gonna cry is all I can say |
Hahaha, ya we were outplayed last night. But as you said, we got screwed out of at least 9 games being the better team....so i felt we deserved to win like that at least once :P mostly making up for the last game we played the canucks which we dominated and also scored on ourselves... |
Outplaying the flames is one thing. But the canucks blew it and made oritio look like a king by taking weak ass shots all from the outside. As for ASG. Didn't know that PK didn't make the cut. That's a mistake LOL |
I've been really itching for some good trade rumours since xmas, is there anything going on right now for that front with Benning talking to Boston or anyone else? |
^might as well make one up yourself lol |
ive heard things about boston needing to prob trade with their cap issues, but ts been years that i heard anything about trading with canucks |
:derp: - "the Sedins and Loui Eriksson lit up the world cup of hockey the previous year" "Benning scouted Krug signed him as an undrafted player" Kassian + (Hansen/Jensen) for Eriksson + Krug? |
We need a warhorse of a defenseman. Giving Corrado a shot is a good in the meantime. He is a project, but probably a higher upside than Sbsia the pizza |
Krug is being proposed a lot lately. But dont give up Kassian for him for godsakes Also outside of Tanev and Hamuis, the team doesnt have capable puck movers and actual defensemen who can defend. We are lucky to be having that little win streak with Hamhuis still out (hes still out right? havnt been following closely) Krug can play the PP and can move the puck. but would probably need a good defensive partner to make up for his shortcommings. We already have Edler taking up that spot with Tanev currently. Hamhuis could partner up with him, but thats just too fragile of a D core. An injury to Tanev or Hamuis again would leave us in the situation we are in now. No to Krug |
Pass on krug... Already have small dman coming up like forsling and subban |
|
was just bout to post this ^ lol crazy to be the first one ! |
Holy they made that long and awkward with that awful repetitive music |
Need this... http://i57.tinypic.com/2z7oi7p.png |
my buddy was at that game |

I'd trade Krug for Kassian in a heartbeat. |
difference with erhoff and krug is that erhoff can play 5 on 5 hockey better and that hoff has height. Krug maybe a pp specialist but thats all he is good for. Rather have a guy who can play pp and 5 on 5 hockey as well. As for Kassian I would keep him over higgins who now has become expendable...guy have been invisible for how many games now and should not be on the 2nd line. Would rather give it to a young guy like jensen who is going to be a top 6 forward. |
Good luck getting any value for Higgins who has a limited NTC :lol:lol:lol |
Gillis is such a fucken idiot giving Higgins a limited NTC like wtf.... |
maybe worth a shot, but i'd only trade Kassian for Krug if we also get a stay at home d/rugged d (either by signing in the off-season or through another trade) Krug may be a pp specialist but Ehroff is 6'2 - 200 Krug is 5'9 - 180 he'd get rekt in a heartbeat, unless he was paired with Bieksa/Sbisa/Stanton but none of those three can actually play defense. besides, like someone mentioned, we have two undersized d-prospects who could fill pp qb position. Forsling had a pretty good WJC so i'd rather see him get a shot next season. I dunno though...do you really see us improving by getting Krug? That might better the chances at the playoffs but wtf is the point. I'd rather not make the playoffs and get another high pick, dump some old asses/baggage in the off season (ie. Higgins, Bieksa, Stanton etc) than make the playoffs get a shitty position in the draft and keep up the farce that we're a competitive team. People will say Canucks fans are bandwagoners but there's a reason why the arena isn't at capacity and that no one really gives a shit about the team. No one is sold on the idea that this team is a playoff team. We're barely wild-card competitors. At the same time we're kinda stuck with this core. The Sedins are second liners at best on their best nights. Until we have a new core to build around, we're pretty much SOL. Edit: the only trade id make with Boston is Kassian + Jensen + 2015 1st round for Dougie Hamilton but that's arm-chair gming and is probably never gonna happen. |
Look at the roster, what is there to get excited about? Lol Vrbata an all star? Jesus All this talk about Vey and Bonino being players who will fill our gaps, they're fucking plugs not difference makers. There are no players on this roster to be excited or even optimistic about. Sedins are slow as fuck, no longer play a possession game. Burrows and the rest of the "core" have seemingly lost a step. It's a pretty sad state of affairs when your "unsung hero" or the biggest off-season acquisition is a 4th line energy player in Dorset. We gonna have to fall a lot more before were back to contending. |
