if anyone knows how to recycle players, its usually detroit

vancouver...not so much.

I wonder if Santorelli is part of Linden and Benning's plan.

From what i heard on the 1040 (might have been another station, but it is 1040):
Something along the lines of Benning being a icy guy in terms of management. Can pull the trigger on hard shots. Ie, Tyler Seguin. Apparently he had some/most input on this one...to trade a budding talent (could have went 1st overall as well) like him to address some other needs of positional(winger) need and prospects.

They also harped on GM Mike Gillis for having all these assets (luongo etc) and not being able to move them. for sitting still for too long. They discussed that Benning should be the guy who gets shit done.

I cant wait to see what he can fetch for Kesler (as much as i think hes an integral player)

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 20m
DAL puts Aaron Rome on unconditional ($125) waivers for purposes of enacting a buyout. Only player on waivers today.

So is NYR going to pick him up for AV?

I only see Santorelli as a 3rd line RW/C. Depending on salary, I don't mind seeing Hansen shipped off and keep Santorelli. Santorelli seems to have more hustle than Hansen last year. Maybe honey badgers really don't give a shit...

Or maybe Hansen was having a bad year like 95% of the rest of the team............

dbaz 06-16-2014 10:24 AM

apparently weise re-signed with mtl today. 2years at 1mil per year

murd0c 06-16-2014 10:31 AM

I'm still pissed at Gillis for that bag of pucks trade...

dbaz 06-16-2014 10:51 AM

I didn't like him so don't care, people overly obsessed with his Dutch league points. would rather spend the money his cap would of taken on fiddler

Santo was probably one of our best players before he went down with the injury

He had a low cap his and played with heart. I don't care about the Dutch league points I just cared he played in the dirty spots and got in front of the net which the team was lacking.

i felt Santo was one of the best too at the time
although he may have only been that successful as a result of tort's system. dont know if he will be effective moving forward.

we do need more centreman anyways. esp since kesler is departing

MG was banking on that 5th round pick becoming a superstar :troll:

Either way he's pretty replaceable so i'm not too concerned.
Good for him to find a solid spot with the Habs.

Tim Budong 06-16-2014 12:13 PM

the whole dutch gretzky thing was all sarcasm

come on guys LOL

Not really racist! 06-16-2014 12:24 PM

What makes you think Weise would have done those things for us? lol, we never utilized him the way we should have, he was clearly the odd man out and we needed defensive depth due to injuries.

We should be HAPPY he got traded so he was able to play a role he couldn't have here in the ECF. So while everyone HATES Gillis, that trade was NOT that bad AT THE TIME based on the circumstances

If I could only pick 1 reason why I never wanted the @LAKings to ever win a Stanley Cup again this would def be it!
