Kuzma: Linden gives embattled Edler a vote of confidence |
I, for one, hope Edler proves all the naysayers wrong. He had a shitty season trying to learn Torts' system, which apparently didn't work for anyone. Pretty much top to bottom, with very few exceptions, nothing but regress. I'm optimistic for a bounce back season before writing him off, as well as many others for that matter. Again, new coach, new system with a learning curve. I may withhold judgement on a lot of players at the end of 2015.. patience is key for Canuck fans. If you're impatient, you'll only drive yourself nuts. Rome wasn't built in a day. |
Shinkaruk needs Etem like he did playing in Medicine Hat :derp: trade kesler to ANA for etem + ott's 1st and sign statsny as 2nd line center Or maybe the Canucks are trying to hire Bylsma to convince Kesler to stay... :ohgodwhy: |

Big_Earl, you have no idea how badly I wish the Canucks would use your avatar as their logo. That would make for a SICK jersey. |

More recently, TL said on multiple occasions (most notably with Team 1040) that he won't ask Edler to waive his for a trade. He believes that he can get Edler back to where he was in 2011 (and better, I guess). If Stevens is part of the coaching mix, then it's a good bet that TL knows what he's talking about. Edit: Didn't see that there was one more page. Oh well. |

I know a guy who works for club 16 that works directly with Linden, like daily type thing Him and Edler are like best friends, they have each other over for dinner all the time, families do things together etc. Edler is starting a family here in Vancouver with a well established home and close friends. No way Trevor is gonna ask him to waive the NTC |
things happen quick and from the sounds of Benning hes ruthless and will trade anyone if its the right move. Linden is just a pawn the face of the Canucks remember so he really doesn't have a say with what happens behind the doors. |
Reports that john Stevens is staying in LA with a promotion |

Dunno. Just heard on TSN that the kings won't let him talk to anyone because they want to keep him to take over sutter when the time comes. |
even the Canucks could beat Spain. |

I'm lost with the last 2 posts, but FLA has a bit more young talent than the Canucks. With Lu back there to at least shave off a goal against every game, they can at least make a run for the playoffs next season. If they were to add Eckblad/Reinhart, then they'd make a good case for second-best young team to watch (after the Avs). |
^ They were referring to how poorly Spain played in the World Cup this morning. ;) |
I hope we get Willie, as in Willie Desjardins, as our next coach. -heard good things about him. Linden knows him personally. Advantage Canucks over Pittsburgh? :woot2: Canucks and Penguins ask to speak to AHL Stars' Desjardins |
it'd be interesting if we got Willie... Willie use to work for Glenn as an assistant in Dallas and now Glenn would work for Willie in Vancouver... |
AV used to work for Bowness. Then vice versa |

Canucks trying to trade Schroder before letting him walk, can't see any team giving anything up for Schroeder |
