The original Z95 sticker had a coupon for free 7/11 slurpee on the back of them.

AllAdvantage was the shit back in the day. Set up some sort of script or macro to have your mouse just randomly move all over while you turned your monitor off and went to school.

I used NetZero for free 56k dial-up exclusively until grade 10 or 11. The worst was when you went to GeoCities to look at porn pics and then your internet would cut out because your parents picked up the phone to dial out.

I remember meeting Ulic for the first time and he was this skinny Chinese kid with glasses, baggy jeans, and an Asian Avenue hat that he'd wear every single time :lol

Badass movie. Loved it. Even though Chloë Sevigny was in it, Harold Hunter(RIP) was a huge celebrity to me at that time. Kids are crazy and fearless.

I remember staying up late to watch it for its cable premier on Showcase - remember when they actually showed indie/foreign films full of nudity?

My sister's grade 9 English class was made to watch it (1996-97). The teacher was always touchy-feely (hands on shoulders stuff), insisted kids play with his pet snakes (another way to make physical contact with students) and always on the edge of inappropriate. A year or two later students finally accused him of sexual harrassment. I can't recall what happened with that.

Great film, but it always reminds me of that teacher.

Rosario Dawson was in that too. I remeber seeing Telly on some British documentary as an adult, trying to get back into acting. One of the cast ended up being the DJ on the Ellen Show for a few years.

Ya I remember, I also made a thread about those 3 Canadian going on a road trip to states to get some

My dad was sort of tradition and would prefer to get our pizza from little Cesars lol

So which one was your first lol

My first MP3 player was the Diamond Rio 500 in opaque teal (how early 2000's is that?)

I'm more nostalgic about my Sony sports walkman though, upgraded from a regular walkman after it got stolen

I remember flipping through the channels one night and something caught my eye. Flipped back and it was some chick going to town on herself with a cucumber. First time I watched anything on Showcase.

I remember my buddy had a diamond rio or somthing similar, was a pain to get MP3s on it lol.

I convinced my parents to buy me a CD burner for my birthday probably around 2000/2001, I remember it was a "PINE" brand from Costco I think, was like $450-$550

Parents splurged because I convinced them I could make CD's for friends and sell them to them lol. Ended up taking so long to burn only ever made my own mixes and occasionally charged someone for one if they heard it and wanted it lol :okay:

I remember when MD players were the shit. Most of my honger friends had them because they'd bring them over from Asia and everyone always thought they were so unique

Is that the 128MB MP3 player that Telus was giving as a promo if you signed up for their internet? I remember it because one of their reps called my house mid-week during summer break, my brother answered assuming it was my parents but since it was some random person asking for my mom he just handed it to me. The guy flew into his pitch and kept rambling on, I didn't care about the MP3 player since I'd just gotten a minidisc player so I just kept saying "mhmm" and "yeah" every so often til he finally hung up. A few weeks later a box showed up at our door with a modem and one of those MP3 players, it turns out somehow I'd signed us up for internet and Telus added it to our phone bill. My mom was not amused and someone at Telus got an earful :lol

Anyone remember watching this in the 80's? Roller Derby was on either right before or right after.

Yup, on rare nights where I'd be up really late. Later on it was (I believe) Crockett wrestling or NWA, not sure. I just remember it being so different from the WWF I always watched. More 'adult'. And then there was Stampede Wrestling which I could sometimes catch on Saturday or Sunday afternoons.

white rocket 05-05-2017 11:04 AM

^^Yup, Friday night line-up. WWF, NWA, GLOW, RollerGames

watching canned footage online of the 2017 WRC Argentina event, and find myself missing the days you could watch everything on Speedvision amongst other things :(

Boostslut 05-07-2017 11:14 PM

Watched this video many times over and over and over, not too old school but still awesome along with the music. Linken Park + WRC = WIN!
