Wait… what? Just looked at the forecast for next week https://i.ibb.co/vBB5XhL/2960-FA2-F-...E15-F9-CFE.png |
I put my winters on last week. Realized this weekend the tires have a rotational direction, and I had rotated them all the way around. So had to re-rotate yesterday. But they're on! |
Just drive backwards. |
In 2018 I bought a new set of Blizzaks. I drive to/from Whistler a lot and so I put these tires to the test and they were great. Until last year, I felt the performance dropped a fair bit. I figured after 4 winters, they must be worn down. But actually I could see lots of tread left. I read that it was most likely due to the multi-cell compound wearing down, leaving just the normal compound remaining. But my problem with that is the tires had very low mileage. The snow table wear indicator is still pretty good, and the dealership who did my recent service said they had 70% left. So I can't help but feel ripped off a bit. Anyways, long story short, tomorrow I'm throwing them out and putting on a new set of X Ice Snows and excited to test them out this winter. |
Why throw them out ? I’m pretty sure if you list it on marketplace or Craig’s you can get some wacko to come by and pay you money for them. |
I know what you mean, but I live in a condo and have no place to store them, even temporarily. I'm also so busy that I don't really have time to deal with selling them and if my wife saw me bring home a set of old tires with no place to keep them I'd be in trouble lol. |
What size? I’ll take em then lol |

yes! I ordered mine about a month ago and only checked in to this thread about a week ago and started reading all the fuss about the CC2s and for a minute had a second thought. I saw a pair in person the other day, they are definitely unique looking. But I think I am happy running 17" winters on steel rims and the 18" summer rims. The thicker sidewall is better for the unplowed, hard packed winter roads. |

im sure that'll go pretty fast. Ive even had a few bites on the wife's RX350 tires that are ~1/2 tread. considering they are 20's im surprised i had any hits at all. |
being 20+ diameter would have people looking for deals? i see them at costco kal cdn tire starting easily 1200-1300$ now |
^dats true. The crossclimate2's on her RX cost me 1400 bucks w/ that costco rebate. :alone: |

Lol it’s the Michelin guide doing exactly as intended. Keep those tire sales coming. |
$2100 with taxes for those Michelins for my Durango, after promo, without install. UGH. Going to stick with that being a nice weather only vehicle and rock the Blizzaks on the Mazda 3, that's gross. -Mark |

Yes. Basically in the 1900s, when Michelin tire company was founded, they decided to create a printed guide that motorists could use to help them plan road trips. Where to stay, where to eat, etc. And from there it took off and eventually became a restaurant review guide that promotes tourism. |
I remember purchasing a michelin map app for my phone when driving around Europe win 2015... it was so much better than google at the time! I still have the app on my phone lol... it was a pay app too, haven't opened it in years but it was really good in ways google couldn't touch. |
