shit is a scam fuck....one single winner fuck that! with 64 million should be split with a lot of people not just one person!

pastarocket 10-19-2015 01:36 PM

-might as well buy a ticket for the Powerball or Mega Millions lotteries in the U.S. Although non residents would pay federal tax on the jackpot, the pay out is much higher.

What a way to troll the Americans if a Canadian won the Power Ball or Mega Millions. :lawl:

TOPEC 10-19-2015 09:27 PM

When the last time someone from bc won the jackpot from 649 or lottomax?

Considering how they responded to a Canadian playing Anakin Skywalker I'd imagine that could result in a war between our countries haha

and then there was a Vancouver gay couple who won 50 million, maybe a year or two ago.

As my original post from this thread stated, something fishy is going on. I wouldn't be surprised if we're dealing with some sort of insider collusion. Of course it's purely speculation on my part but I can't think of a logical human being who would hold out this long for 50 Million just so they can remain anonymous unless he/she is hiding something.

The draw date in question is from March 14/2014

but it’s also reminded some about the Lotto Max ticket that was turned in days before it was set to expire in March
Quote:

Seven months later, the identity of the person who turned it in remains a mystery, as does the reason for the long delay in cashing out the prize

last 6/49 $60m winner still no show?

Another update because this mystery gets deeper as the months pass.

Mystery of Langley lotto winner continues

Quote:

An attempt by CBC Vancouver to find out more about the mystery winner of a $50 million Lotto Max ticket sold in Langley has failed to uncover many new details, according to a report posted online by the broadcaster last week.
Quote:

After the CBC filed a request under Freedom Of Information (FOI) guidelines about the March of 2014 jackpot, it said the B.C. Lottery Corporation (BCLC) withheld 275 pages of material.
Quote:

A report posted on the BCLC website shows an unnamed individual made a separate FOI application to find out exactly which Langley lottery distributor sold the ticket, and was denied the information.
Quote:

Dalbir Sidhu was taken to court by Gayleen Rose Elliott, who is convinced that Sidhu, a co-worker who was responsible for buying tickets for a workplace lottery pool, has the winning March 14 Lotto Max ticket that was sold in Langley and is trying to avoid sharing the winnings.
From my research on this story it appears the two rumors are an underage teenager bought the winning ticket, but could not cash the winning ticket. the second is a coworker who was supposed to buy tickets for the workplace lottery but instead used the lottery funds to buy the winning ticket for himself. There is a pending lawsuit unfortunately the case is pending. Or maybe some lottery employee concocted some shady scheme to keep the winnings for himself. Isn't it coincidental that the last day before the ticket was to expire, this mysterious winner just happens to pop out from obscurity and issues the winning ticket. Why can't we know where the winning ticket was sold from? This would help narrow down the clues to this mystery. Hell, I would go to the store where the winning ticket was issued and ask the owner myself who the lucky son off a bitch is.

With all that being said, don't forget to buy your ticket this week for the massive 55 milly jackpot!

^i also heard it was bought from a underage kid as well! Which is weird since all he/she would have to give it to their parents for them to cash it in...unless their parents were dicks or not in the picture!

haha...idiots.

that money's locked six ways to sunday in litigation and its not gonna see the light of day for years

Verdasco 12-10-2015 10:44 AM

would a smart man buy lotto max or lotto 649?

if you are going to win, might as well go for the bigger jackpot right? (even though the odds are better in the 649.)

6o4__boi 12-10-2015 11:10 AM

a smart man would never get into office pools for one thing

i don't care how nice and trustworthy my coworkers seem, i would never get in a pool with any of them...when there's a lot of money on the line, saints can easily become savages.

at my old job they used to do a pool with like 50+ people and i've always thought that was a nightmare lawsuit waiting to happen.

This is exactly why they don't release that info - too many Hardy Boys wannabes sticking their noses into innocent people's business. BCLC has professional investigators, they don't need help from Scooby and the gang tripping all over the place.

7seven 12-15-2015 10:29 AM

The winner

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CWSiqY0UwAEqxxs.jpg

Apparently him, his wife and son are the winners and didn't want to be disclosed publicly as the winners, tried to transfer the winning ticket to a trust and have their attorney claim the ticket but BCLC only allows individuals or groups to claim winning tickets so they have been fighting BCLC on that.

roughly 1 in 14 million for Lotto 6/49
roughly 1 in 28.6 million for Lotto Max

it is literally half as likely that you will win lotto max.

what are you going to do with 30 million that you cant do with 15?

id way rather be twice as likely to win even the minimum 5 million

however, i dont know the odds of winning any of the smaller substantial prizes

Verdasco 12-15-2015 11:07 AM

das it mane.... buying one for the next big draw lol

might as well win big on lotto max if

As long as the group purchase is done properly with everyone signing that group buying agreement, it's worth trying. :considered:

RS members wouldn't sue each other IF the group won the $60 million and there was a dispute about the payout. :troll:

This wouldn't work, you'd need a picture ID that matches the lottery ticket

roopi 12-15-2015 02:43 PM

They estimated $500,000 in interest missed out by not claiming it for a year.

murd0c 12-15-2015 02:47 PM

The people are fucken stupid... Everyone knows they need to publish who wins especially a prize that large but wait until the last second to claim it and loose half a mill what retards.

Hondaracer 12-15-2015 02:58 PM

If they were that worried why did all three get in the pic?
