Lucky you, I'm level 22 and have yet to find a single 10km egg. This is also after using almost a dozen incubators too.

Sentinel 08-05-2016 11:18 AM

I hatched two 10km eggs back to back, both times I got aerodactyl.... Previous ones got jynx -_-

My friends hatch the starters with 2km and all I get are pidgeys, zubats, etc.. Fml

Berzerker 08-05-2016 11:20 AM

I've had 4 10k eggs so far. Currently hatching 2 at once.

Niantic released a tweet addressing the update and the shitty catch rate plus not getting xp for nice and great throws.

Berz out.

You do not get anything good with 2km eggs or 5km look at the chart.

For those using Pokeadvisor, does the IV percentage mean the highest possible potential?
Do the levels correspond to powerup? i.e. one power-up means one level?

So you don't consider the starters as good? I'll be happy with hatching the starters.

Was at BCIT earlier and it was so dead there.

The trend will probably pick back up once the tracker is fixed. It's kind of pointless to sit at the lures to only farm pidgeys all day with no idea at all if a Dragonite is 20 steps away. The tracker not only doesn't show steps, it's completely broken and inaccurate, almost random. The 'mons that were popping up were not even on my Nearby list at all.

It's too bad you can't throw away eggs so you are forced to hatch all the crappy 2/5k eggs regardless. I got a 62cp Onix from my only 10km egg lmao.
Can anyone confirm if the "level" of the egg is upon getting it, incubating it or hatching it? I think I got the 10k egg at around level 9, but didn't hatch it until level 20.

Because I can increase CP/level through Stardust but IV is permanent correct?
Only downfall is that I need to use more Stardust?

Mike Oxbig 08-05-2016 07:03 PM

Might want to keep track of where your friends are getting their eggs from for starters.

Not confirmed but i realized the eggs i get i hatch by my work are all the same

Not sure if i understand correctly what you said, but 2/5/10k egg have a set group of pokemon they will hatch. Location where your eggs hatch does no make a difference

It depends on your goal, but what you said is correct. So a pokemon with perfect IV is 15attack/15def/15stamina.

Snorlax BASE 0% IV so 0/0/0
180atk/180def/320stamina

Snorlax 100% IV 15/15/15
195atk/195def/335stamina

The difference between two level 30 pokemon 0% vs 100% IV(the max level a pokemon can go right now) won't make a huge difference the way the battle system is right now, unless it get changed drastically. Good dodging will make up for a lower IV %. What is very important right now is the pokemon move set.

100% IV Dragonite with steel wing and hyper beam will lose to a 60% IV Dragonite with Dragon Breathe and Dragon Claw.

You can use PokéAdvisor and it'll tell you a pretty accurate IV % for ALL your pokemon so you can see which one to keep and such. Keep in mind it's more rare for the 3 starter pokemon to have a high IV % (80%+ is consider rare) and almost impossible to find a Charizard , Blastoise or Venasaur with 60%+. You have a better chance finding a 100% IV perfect move set Dragonite then a 80%+ Blastoise. IV % will carry over with evolution.

Pokemon from hatched eggs also have a better chance at a higher IV % then Pokemon's caught in the wild.

Mike Oxbig 08-05-2016 08:39 PM

i regret transfering my 244cp 92% charmander which i hatched. Since Charmanders are easily farmed at jericho

HonestTea 08-06-2016 12:52 AM

The game is dying off, fast. Just drove by Metro around 12am and there was less than 80 people..

Tim Budong 08-06-2016 06:13 AM

hatched a 553cp 100% IV eevee today
time to scrap the 57% vaporeon and try again

People here still paying? Just curious what you're goals are? I'm focusing not so much on catching them all but rather getting the strongest Pokemon with high IVs and ideal movesets. Niantic had indicated the game is only at 10% of what they had in mind so rather than power leveling the gf and I are just enjoying the process and collecting the strong Pokemon which hopefully becomes useful somewhere down the line when gym battles change.

Most proud of these babies. Eeveelution trick worked on my 100% vaporeon for the second time. Maybe it's luck since there's a 1/3 chance of getting it but still.

Inaii 08-07-2016 11:36 AM

Is Vaporeon still the best eevolution? I know it got nerfed, but just wondering if I should evolve my 91.1% eevee into a vaporeon.

I noticed that sometime when I enter the same colour gym and I try to join, it does not give me the option to join even though there are only 2 other Pokemon in the gym. I've tried training/fighting and even though I won sometime I can join and sometime I can't join the gym. What do I need to do?

Suprarz666 08-08-2016 08:44 PM

^its 1 pokemon per level.
For example, a Level 3 gym lets your colour team put in 3 Pokemon to defend it.
A level 10 gym lets you put in 10 pokemon.

In your case, it must have been a level 2 gym.

Tim Budong 08-08-2016 08:47 PM

i havent seen a gym past lvl3 here
its too damn dense and difficult to even get into a gym battle in HK

inv4zn 08-08-2016 09:57 PM

The gym system is slightly skewed.

It's far easier to bring gym points down than it is to raise it up.
