^ what in the world are you talking to reps for about this? It's a loophole in their system. you start a new line with a bc number, then switch it to a Manitoba number using their online service and once your billing cycle starts, you switch to the $48 plan. 24 hrs later you port over your number and BAM! You're on the plan.

maybe I should ask richmond people cause they are always down for dirty money Kappa :troll:

maybe I shouldnt even bother asking but I am worried that I will stick to Koodo and get my ass handled by their reps :(

PHEW no phone call for me. It's been almost a year. *knock on wood*
I try not to deal with koodo over the phone because i'm afriad theyd mention something lmao!!

when exactly did he/she do it? I plan to go tmr :)

edit: do you port your number at the kiosk or online?

Gucci Mane 06-27-2016 02:47 PM

^ everything is done online... only time you have to speak to a rep is when you go in initially go activate the sim card.

twitchyzero 06-27-2016 09:27 PM

that's like calling in about a price error haha
i doubt they have the ability/resources to find those that got through the loophole...at best they'll close it off for new lines.

I think it's that they don't care. Else, they know everything like where your cell is usually activated. All they need to do is to make it mandatory to have Manitoba/Sask area code to have this plan and GG.

The website literally just keeps crashing when he tries to log in. So strange. He hasn't changed the plan to MBSK yet because of the site always crashing. He called into customer service and they don't even know how to resolve this either

Says something like ERROR 505

Gucci Mane 07-04-2016 02:54 PM

^ has he tried using a different browser? i just tried using chrome and nothing happens, i used safari and it loaded up fine.

guurl 07-04-2016 09:02 PM

I tried using safari, internet explorer, chrome. nothign works. even tried logging in with the koodo app and doesnt let. It says to contact account manager which is weird because he is the account manager of the account. lol maybe its not meant to be :(

Exactly the same

hotjoint 07-05-2016 11:02 PM

Just a heads up everyone. Some people on the howardforums link in the OP are stating that they've received texts from koodo telling them that they aren't in the same province as the plan and they have 14 days to change to another plan or get d/c. I've been on this plan since Jan 2016 and I just ported my wife #'s over Saturday so let's hope it's just random occurrences.
