Caps are screwed cause they have half their team as upcoming UFA/RFAs
Shattenkirk, Orlov, Alzner, Kuznetsov, Oshie, Williams, and Burokovsky are the big names.

alzner wont be re-signed. theres been rumors of him going west (edm) and they have bowey in the ahl whos prob ready, or close to it
burakovksy will get a bridge deal
they can sign oshie and kuznetsov to 6mil a year and replace Williams with one of galiev or vrana
basically they are fine. but will still lose to the pens 
considering how bad ovechkin was I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out he played with an injury after that dirty kadri hit

Alzner is a BC boy, so long shot in that he comes here. but more likely Edmonton
I hope this offseason that McDavid works on his puck protection and downlo play. Basically, if he can emulate Crosby's elite downlow play and puck possession/protection, he would be unstoppable. He has the speed, but know he needs to be unmovable from the puck like Draisaitl already is

The better team won; gotta feel for the caps though, especially Ovi and Backstrom..
That game could have been so much different if even just one of either Backstrom's shot bounces off Fleury and into the net instead of the post, or if Ovi's one timer is an inch over to either side and doesn't catch Fleury's stick.
With NYR and Washington gone I don't even know who to cheer for anymore.. go Preds?

Ovi was playing limited minutes and was not his usual self from the start of the series with the Leafs and probably further back into the regular season. After the Kadri hit, he missed the last couple of minutes of the period and started the next dishing out a hit. So I have my doubts Kadri's clean hit, even Caps fans can admit it was clean, was the cause.
