they've also been caught cheating in benchmarks by overclocking their SoCs
and advertising specs in ads which were absent
as well as paying online comments to praise their products/bash competitors' products.

i stopped buying Samsung goods few years ago...except for their flash memory :sweetjesus:

Returned my note 7 replacement yesterday at Samsung. I was also refunded the 200 for the shitty worthless flip phone I traded into them from the promo. Not bad cause I made 200 from nothing. However, the note 7 was an amazing phone. Better than anything out there at the moment. It's unfortunate that this blow up thing has happened and now I don't know what phone to buy. Till I make up my mind I'll still be using the note 7 original that I still haven't shipped back to them.. With extreme caution of course.

Yeah I've read it, got korean friends who tell me all the time how corrupt Samsung is. Basically the living embodiment of E-Corp if you've ever watched Mr. Robot lol.

I hope you know you're endangering people around you as well. You'll also likely get sued if it ever blows up and affects anyone else.

The US Federal Aviation Administration banned all Note 7 on US Flights. Effective since Oct 15th.

They've got pop-ups for note 7s now so it's going to be a it of a pain using it.

Rogers has no replacement plan for corporate customers yet surprisingly. I ended up ordering a new s7 edge for now and dealing with the return after I get back.

mk1freak 10-18-2016 04:43 PM

Same with bells business customers.... Waiting to hear back but nothing as of yet

N.V.M. 10-18-2016 05:40 PM

Totally agree, haven't they heard of the Streisand effect?

Expresso 10-21-2016 01:52 PM

Has the price of the S7 Edge always been $999? At this point IP7 or Pixel seem like better buys unless the Trade In credit still valid.

RiceFarmer 11-03-2016 04:20 PM

Anyone who returned their phone via mail get a refund yet? If so how long did it take after the phone was delivered did you receive the refund?

Samsung, after phone recall, recalls 3M washing machines | CTV News

Quote:

Nearly 3 million Samsung washing machines are being recalled in the U.S. following multiple injuries, including a broken jaw, due to "excessive vibration."
So does anyone still trust this company? lol

MarkyMark 11-04-2016 11:20 AM

I'd still buy a Samsung phone, but if the S8 starts blowing up I may change my mind on that.

radioman 11-04-2016 11:23 AM

how do you break a jaw on a washing machine? Are people resting their heads on it to test how smooth it is?

Verdasco 11-04-2016 11:25 AM

im done with samsung, i love their TV, cellphones etc but washing machine? 3 million?

Read the article, it "explodes" and shit goes flying from the washing machine probably hitting people occasionally.

Armind 11-04-2016 11:29 AM

:Popcorn

iwantaskyline 11-04-2016 11:32 AM

Ok my bad, maybe that article isn't too clear on it but yea those models explode lol.

Iceman_2K 11-04-2016 01:52 PM

Man, all they need is exploding Samsung tvs and monitors and they're set!!

I switched to the pixel a few weeks ago. Mostly because of how people around me feel about the note 7 itself. I have had 0 issues while I used the note 7 and it's by far the most superior phone out there right now despite all the controversy. It's the perfect size, feel and packed with features. Pixel isn't even on the same level as the note 7 as it is mostly a repackaged nexus with an inflated price. I know there are guys in here who are shit talking the note / samsung but I'm still on board with any company that can produce a quality phone that's safe to use in the future. Only those who have owned a Note 7 will know. Haters gonna hate.
