So fucking expensive... makes me cry. |
Pre-ordered on corporate reservation. Spot #19. :) |
:rukidding::considered::denied: gona wait for the S8... should have everything the Note 7 has minus the S pen and its features plus better hardware specs, im guessing.. |
the S and Note lines are like 6 months apart. i haven't been a fan of samsung in a while but geez they can't please everyone they brought memory card slot back...a healthy battery capacity bump and futureproofed with usb-c...gave it an edge screen and waterproofed it i dont understand the need for 6gb ram or anything faster than SD 820 on mobile it's expensive but not overpriced compared to US pricing...look at our shitty dollar...850 USD > 1050 CAD the way I see it...flagship device are getting pricier outright but they're getting to the point you don't need to replace them every 2 years...a Note 4 is still plenty fast. Stretch out a phone to maybe 4 years and you're paying less than buck daily for the item you're using all the time then it's not that bad. I'm just hoping my Xperia Z5P with SOT 6-7 hours will last a while...it's got that hot mess SD 810 with 'only' 3GB memory BibleThump Quote:
are you letting your phone drain down below 10% almost on a daily basis? LiPo batteries don't like that for longevity |
yaaass water resistant note |
I would still buy Samsung Devices.. apparently only the US version comes with SD SoC while every other country is getting the inhouse Exynos, which seems better... well at least thats the way it is for the S7s.. im sure thats its going to be like this for awhile... |
The more I look at this phone the more I like it. If my Nexus 5 craps out before the S8 is released I'll most likely get this. |
Looks like the Canadian version will be the snapdragon processor instead of the Exynos, that kinda sucks especially if they go this route for all future galaxy devices in Canada. |
In the past they traditionally have used Snapdragon. Is there a reason why Exynos is better? It seems like the development groups hated Exynos. Also is the price confirmed? It seems odd that the Samsung store sells the S7 Edge for $999, when you could get the Note7 for $50 bucks more? |
I believe Canada has gotten the Exynos version the last couple of Galaxy models. The biggest difference seems to be battery life, with the Exynos version getting up to 2 hours more talk time and up to 3 hours more of web browsing/ video play on the galaxy s7. Battery life is my biggest concern and I'll definitely be waiting for reviews before getting a snapdragon version. |
Just went to the Samsung Store at Richmond Center and got to play with the Note 7. I downloaded AIDA64 on the phone and can confirm that it had an Exynos cpu. |
Interesting, I wonder if it's just the carrier models that will have the snapdragon, or perhaps the floor models they have at the Samsung store will be different from the ones you buy. |
I would hope that it would be the Exynos model. The only way to find out is looking at the specs on the back of the box when they are avaliable. |

I have personally never liked how much the S6/7 edge screens because they are too curved too my liking, i am very happy to see that the note 7 have a subtle curve. |
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...te_7_64gb.html this site has some of the cheapest electronics, i wonder why. |
Saw this phone at the Samsung store in silver. What a nice phone. Feels way better in the hand then the s7 edge. More like the ipohne but glass. |

Went to a different Samsung store today and picked a random Note 7. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...37f39306ac.jpg |
Looks awesome. However, I've only had my Note 5 since the beginning of the year, and it being not just a huge leap from the Note 4, it's a snappy, well rounded phone, and I love it. Will definitely get a Note 7, but probably not til the New Year. |

hmmmmmmmmmm.....note 7 or hold out for the s8....... |
Note 7 is already 200 dollars off with old phone trade in |
